I'd visit any day though. This is a decent-sized, sit-down place in a nice neighborhood, but offers great value; you can easily order a dosa or other main dish plus some delicious appetizers for less then you would have spent for a single dish most of urban Sydney, whose food scene I have not been that impressed with. And frankly, it wasn't as sketch as some comparable restaurants I've visited farther north in this country. And the if you haven't tried the vegetarian delights of south India, this will be a good introduction as they did the basics well. The potato filling in my savory crepe was snappy and delicious, and were their spicy samosas, generous breads, and an impressive sizzling cheese dish. I wish I had tried a thali (sampler platter), but it was hard enough finishing what I got even with a group. If I were back in town again, this would be close to a must-visit.

The…read moreflavors and the breads and sweets (I can't ever seem to get out of here without bringing home a box of sweets for "later," which usually means later that night) are some of the best I've ever tried... And not just in Sydney. My favorite dish is the Punjab platter, but the dosas are also excellent. I haven't had a dish here that I didn't think was exceptional. The prices are good and it can be hard to find a table, but it is so worth it. And please don't confuse this with the other Indian place called "Maya" something that is directly across the street, it is decidedly not the same (not even close, actually). This one is the bomb.

The prices for the ramen were relatively cheap, especially when comparing to manmaruya but when it came out and I had a taste I knew why. It didn't really taste like the ramen i'm used to. The broth tasted like a normal soup that had been boiled for 1 or 2 hours rather than the longer hours required for rich tasting broth. The next dish I tried was the curry rice. It was decent but nothing really fancy or anything. Something you could probably just whip up at home. Has anyone had really awesome curry rice at a restaurant before though? I feel like you can't really wowed from curry rice. The small plate of sushi that came with the ramen was ok as well. Not good not bad so not much to comment on here. All in all the plain looking shop front and plain inside probably does tell the truth this time as the food there was just very very average.

The interior is cozy, and the restaurant isn't suited for larger gatherings. Prices are relatively cheap considering the generous helping they serve. I ordered the pork katsudon and was able to leave on a full stomach (an understatement, really) for a mere $9. The taste was quite homely, nothing spectacular, but the katsu could have stood to be a little crispier. Other than that, I've no complaints.

This is a place to come for amazing food, aesthetic decor and a relaxed and fun experience. The restaurant constantly adapts and modifies their menu for new flavors and the freshest produce. Your best bet, when you have a group would be to grab some small plates to share and then a couple of the larger plates to finish - all the while leaving room for dessert and the cocktails that look like they have come out of a fantasy land! Be warned though the cocktails are strong and easy to drink! For our meal we started with the pork belly which was crispy and succulent. This was followed by the wonton soup which was refreshing and the great transition into the Wasabi surfer tuna (my favourite). These dishes were fresh, presented beautifully and were unique in their own way. After this we tried to the eggplant, soft shell crab, and the burgers. The eggplant dish has a distinct smokey flavour that might not suit everyone, however, when eaten in combination with the soft shell crab it was delicious. The soft shell crab in lettuce leaf was crispy and fresh in the same bite. One of the definite stars of the menu for me were the burgers. With a sweet and light bun, amazing sauce and the option of fish and chicken these were a brilliant end to the selection of dishes. The dessert looked too good to eat... Almost. The lava balls were the top pick - dough balls with liquid chocolate on the inside (what else do you need). The Banana fritters were great as well - and this is from someone who usually stays away from banana dishes. The icecream side was zesty and was a brilliant way to bring the course to an end. Drinks wise, there is so much to choose from. While it is BYO wine ($3.50 corkage) they have a fine selection of both red and white on hand if you want. Personally, I would jump straight to the cocktail list - it is obvious they have put as much effort and thought into this as they have their amazing menu. We tried the Pink Lotus which is highly recommended if you like something sweet and a side of fairy floss. The star was the Korean Soju, a sweet and strong yoghurt cocktail that you pour out of a tea cup. At 18% alcohol and the theatre of this cocktail it is definitely one to grab a couple of times if you are not driving! Also, Thursday is Ladies Night with 50% off cocktails from 5:30 - 10pm. The personnel on hand here are one of the draw cards as well. The owner Robert will talk, explain the meals and entertain the guests as his wife helps out in the kitchen. With such a large menu the manager Tash does an amazing job making sure that she talks you through the menu and what works well. If you are undecided or not sure - run with their suggestions for both food and drinks. Located in Little Bay, it is a little out of the centre of the Eastern Suburbs but is definitely worth the visit. Majority of business is walk in and they are open Wednesday through to Sunday. Large groups are encouraged to book a table. Drop in - enjoy the food, love the cocktails and soak up the amazing atmosphere while chatting with the staff. You will not be disappointed

These bite sized fried wonton cups are filled with flavour provided by a mix of ingredients; carrots, prawn, crab meat and egg omelette, topped with coriander chilli and roe.Something to warm us on a cold winter nigh was a classic Chinese inspired fresh made wonton soup with bok Choi. This was accompanied by a salt and pepper Squid served in a lettuce cup topped with sauteed onion and chilli, the squid having a soft texture and a good amount of spice. The menu is filled with comfort food such as a soulful claypot cooked chicken with Chinese sausage. The claypot and its cooking method intensifies the flavours of the dish. The Little Hutong version of Mee siam of work fried vermicelli noodles with with prawns, bean sprouts and rolled egg omelette and a side kick of Spicy sambal to be added to taste, if you can handle the heat.We finished the meal with the sweet and super crispy Banana fritters, served with a chocolate crumb and vanilla ice cream. The Goan fish curry and Patiala goat curry (spicy) from the mains were both delicious, and the Kari Kozhambu from the specials was also brilliant. The staff are always on their feet and on the two occasions we visited, we were never left waiting to order or ask for additional drinks. They even gave us coffee after they had already cleaned the coffee machine and were getting ready to close up. I think some may feel that the food is a bit pricy, but I would have to disagree.
