This is a really nice pub which is located on Longmoor Lane in Fazakerley which I have visited…read morerecently and would certainly go back again. Its very large inside, clean and well maintained. Really stylish decor and has a great atmosphere too. Drinks are reasonably priced and staff are very friendly. The also serve food but the kitchen was closed on the day of our visit so didn't get a chance to test the menu but it looked like there was a good choice and prices were reasonable. They have a heated smoking area to the front of the pub too.

It has the main bar at the front with a large extended restaurant to the rear serving a good range of food. They have regular promotions and the prices are reasonable, drinks are a little more expensive. Its a good clean, comfortable family friendly pub with a play area / beer garden at the back. They serve a very good value Sunday roast but it does get quite busy and on a few occasions have sold out of many things.

Despite apparently being shut when I visited one wintry afternoon, the barman was only too happy to open up and get the taps working so we could get a pint. He then stuck a few quid in the jukebox and left us to choose the songs ourselves. You don't get staff more helpful than that, provided of course he was a member of staff and not just a foiled burglar.

It may not be the biggest pub in the world but it's got everything you need, including a pool table, now a rarity in the area. Live acts play some nights and there is a juke box. For those driving and not drinking there is a good sized car park just across the road. Hidden downstairs is a huge private function room with its own entrance just off Roddick Street. Its well worth the £50 hire fee and for a reasonable sum the pub will arrange balloons and catering. Both of my parents have had parties here this year and they loved it. This is no ordinary function room, with its various crannies and nooks it's quirky and unusual. Saying that, there is a stage for the DJ and plenty of room for anyone brave enough to dance.
