My husband and I stumbled upon this place. The buffet they have is very elaborate, fresh and well priced. Lunch was 35R$, about $18 USD. Drinks are extra. Full fruit and veggie spread, rice and beans, pasta with bolognese meat sauce, chicken, fresh grilled meat, pot stickers, fish, desserts, etc. it was all really good.
Because we don't speak Portuguese and didn't know the custom, we had to ask. You basically get seated, grab a tray, and get your food. Near the end of the line, their is someone at the grill and you let him know what type of meat you want. Them the desserts, then they weigh your plate but you do NOT pay then. You get a coupon that you'll use to pay at the end. Grab you'd silverware, too, in this line.
You sit and most eat on their tray. Drinks are extra, and if you want water, you'll pay for that, too. Be sure you say "agua mineral" or "no gas" if you want regular flat water.
Easy walk from our hotel (7-10 minutes) and clearly a local favorite. Very tasty and good service.
Not a five star because it is not fine dining. I could not tell f there was a menu to order from or not. We'll definitely go there again. There's also a happy hour. read more
