It's only a 7 min drive from Barcelona El Prat Airport, 10-15 min uber to the city and if you chose to travel by bus or metro then there are stops only 5 mins away from this hotel, which was very convenient for us! Our king bed room was big, with all amenities in the room and bathroom, and a beautiful view as well! I just wish their staffs at the reception was a bit more knowledgeable about the transportation system to/from the city since we were tourists and so were the majority of their guests, but no points taken off for that.

Don't think it's worth 8 euros though. I like how you can do a late check out at 6 pm if you pay 10 euros. Not to shabby...

The kitchen is fully loaded with plates, utensils, fridge and other things so you can stock the fridge and cook if you choose to do so. They originally designed this place to be an old folks apartment complex so it's got a nice home feel to it. There is a little cafe on the property but we didn't eat or order there so I can't comment on it but there were a lot of markets and produce stands within a very short walk of the property. There was also a couple of tapas bars that were in the proximity too. Within a 10 minute walk, there was a nice little plaza with a lot of shops, restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. This is where everyone in the area gathers at night to meet, eat, talk, smoke and drink. Very cool place and everyone here were pretty much local. I think we were the only tourists but we were received very well and people are generally friendly. The front desk staff was extremely helpful with all of our questions about the surrounding area, places to eat and taking the metro to get around. They do have wifi but it's very weak and slow just like the rest of Barcelona. My advice is to sit in the lobby if you need to access the internet as it was slow for us on the 4th floor. The rooms are not as expensive as places in the downtown area and there is a metro station that's a 5 minute walk away. If you plan this right, you can save a ton of money. We bought a 3-day pass for the metro and the room and pass were way cheaper than staying in expensive hotels. Left a lot of residual cash for dining, shopping and bus tours. This is an apartment hotel,rooms are large come with full kitchen and clean wooden floor tile in bathroom,refrigerator,microwave,oven ,electric coffee machine,dining table,modern TV,large bed and extra sofa in living room transforms into a large bed. Free WiFi and good AC.,clean bathroom. Laundry available for everyone for free. Location is 4 to 5 miles away from city center but you find coffee shops and breakfast places as well as good bakery's everywhere around this hotel area. Transportation gets easy if you buy a€25 euro Metro ticket let's you ride any metro line for ten times any direction in Barcelona. Taking metro from hotel to downtown Barcelona takes twenty minutes. Hotel staff are friendly but you must learn few Spanish or Latin words to communicate. Taxi drivers in general speak no English but are familiar with tourists and friendly. Front desk staff even helped us with transportation to the train station on our last day. Loved their free breakfast! All three twin beds were comfy but took up most of the room so you don't have a lot of space for big luggages so pack light! Not really close to the major attractions like La Familia Segrada or Parc Guell but we took a hop on hop off bus that took us there. Ask the front desk staff about the hop on hop off bus, they can set everything up for you!

Taxis or public transport are necessary to get anywhere. Rooms: While larger than most European hotel rooms, these are in desperate need of attention, the decor is extremely outdated and there is visible wear and tear. The general vibe is a run down college dorm. The beds are not very comfortable and the bedding is very basic. The air conditioning units do not work. If you are visiting from the US, this alone could be a dealbreaker. Our group had three rooms and two had AC issues, none were fully resolved. Some rooms include an iron and ironing board (also unusual plus for European hotels) and a Nespresso machine. Service: The staff is ok. Not overly proactive but also limited by the system in which they operate. On day 1, we visited the front desk to mention the issues with the AC. The agent said they would have a technician check it the following day. It didn't happen. We visited the front desk again, spoke with the same agent. She initially forgot our initial conversation but luckily she had written down the request. She mentioned the technician didn't come but they would address it the following day. She tried doing a room change but the hotel was full so instead we got an oscillating fan to help alleviate the AC situation. The issues continued for the third day and when we visited the front desk we were told the technician remained off.

There were hinges and a glass door frame, but no door. 2) Inconsistent wifi that required a new pass from the front desk every 24 hours. 3) A front door that was improperly fitted and a pain to shut. In fact, the floor was scratched up. 4) Lousy air conditioning even though the lobby was ice cold. Additionally, free breakfast would have been nice considering that this hotel isn't cheap. On the plus side, it's directly across the street from the Liceu metro stop, and it's pretty centrally located. I would absolutely, positively not stay at this hotel again, even if it was 30% less expensive. We only put up with the room shortcomings because we were out all day every day and there were no other rooms. In fact, this lousy room was supposedly an UPGRADE as it was the only one left with two beds.

It's also walkable to several points of interest, like La Sagrada Familia. In terms of hostel atmosphere, it's definitely a more lively/"party" oriented hostel. There are nightly dinners where you can meet other travelers, and a pub crawl afterwards. Most people staying in this hostel are on the younger side (early to late 20s) and the hostel draws a social crowd. Expect the hostel to be noisy until midnight, or even later on weekend nights. This is definitely not a calm/quiet hostel, so don't stay here if that's what you're looking for. It's worth nothing that the bunks do have locks, but there are no curtains. The hostel also neighbors metro lines, so you will feel the rumble of the metro until the lines stop running at night.

WHAATT? Crazy. I went out one night and ended up going to a bar called Marula with live jazz music and the funk & soul was real. (Really recommend that bar if you're in the area). Living situation was very comfortable -- bunk beds were just the right size, showers were plenty & really spacious, mixed male/female bathroom stalls, a patio, kitchen, and a quaint room for jamming out. Location is stellar. Such an easy walk to almost all attractions, like about a 20 minutes from La Sagrada Familia, 15 minutes from Casa Batllo, 35 minutes from Park Guell. I'd recommend walking around and get lost anyways since the gothic architecture is such a beautiful sight. Stop by cafes along the way -- almost every store has a desayuno "breakfast" deal (like around 2,50 for a croissant + cafe with milk). Love this hostel muchooooo. Currently in my Madrid's hostel typing this review and am seriously missing 360 Hostel :'(
