Probably the longest review I've ever written but I'll start with the TLDR: come here for good service, someone who knows their juice and mods/kits/coils/etc (Josh), and awesome conversation. Also, be aware that it does get kind of busy later in the day, so be prepared to wait a little if necessary. If you ever worked retail then be understanding.
As a new vaper, I was recommended this place by a coworker - she was a former smoker and I was looking to get off the "stinky sticks" as some vapers call them. She told me this place was good for juice, or that emergency moment when you just need something - coils, another mod, whatever. (My first mistake - buying a starter kit online... folks, unless you're well versed, don't do it. Just DON'T.) I showed up at the shop hoping to get help getting it set up and buying my first bottle of juice. I remember just a few people being in there and they were already being helped by someone else. It was at that time that I met Josh, another employee. (I actually just formally "met" him today.) He tried to help me get set up, but my new device that had just arrived hours prior was already sailing the failboat. He tried and tried again... and he did get it working... for a time - not his fault. I didn't buy it there, and to be quite honest, he was just trying to help a noob like me get vaping. He did recommend a juice for me - even though I couldn't sample it first (I don't think they offer samples but okay), and it was good. My only irritation aside from a funny acting starter kit was that it was a little hassle trying to get out of there as more customers piled in... and not gonna lie, I just wanted to hurry up and get out with my half-working vape and juice. In hindsight, it's a small shop (most are) there's maybe one or two employees and when more customers pile in, well? You get the picture. There's tons of us and maybe 2 of them. Anyway, I ended up enjoying the juice a LOT. Eventually, my still-new-bought-online starter kit failed (less than 48 hours after it arrived & leaving Vaperz... did I mention DO NOT BUY ONLINE as a noob?) and I ended up at another shop while I was in the city/Chicago (they too, tried there to help me get this FAIL of a starter kit going. It was just a FAILBOAT vape). I had to buy one there out of necessity because no, I wanted to give up smoking and give vaping an honest chance. Regardless, the juice Josh recommended initially was even tastier! My first starter kit just SUCKED.
Over the weeks that followed, of course I started running through that bottle I bought here. And yes, I stopped at other shops (they were closer at that time). No one carried it. REALLY GUYS? I even went online to look and no one had it. I finally found time to head back over to Vaperz on my off day (yes, I'm the weirdo with a random Tuesday off) after running out for over 24 hours and let me tell you life sucked. No, I didn't phone first, I was just hoping they had it and I was not disappointed. I walked in to that random slow moment in the day and I heard a cheerful "what's up?!" coming from the back somewhere. I responded and Josh came out. I was happy to see a familiar face and after saying "hey I was in here that one time with that starter kit that was sucked..." he remembered me. And I couldn't ask fast enough for that juice he initially recommended. They had it. YAS. He mentioned a 2 for $40 and SOLD because no I'm not going to relive my nightmare of running out any time soon. We chatted a bunch and I left super happy. While I get that online IS cheaper, it doesn't help when it isn't available or worse, waiting because of shipping. I don't mind paying extra, supporting a good shop, and having a great experience. I'll definitely be back over for more stuff and things and thanks again Vaperz and Josh for being awesome. read more
