Dr. Hollmuller is caring and compassionate; he LISTENED and I never felt rushed. They aren't just pushing people through; they're providing a lifeline for many who've done everything to address severe depression, to no avail. Am so appreciative of their veteran's/first responder discount - only one other doctor who offers this treatment in Dallas does it. Although esketamine is FDA approved, I was told that IV treatment would be better for me. Esketamine is FDA-approved, but it's difficult to access in Dallas. Unless you're still working and have employer-subsidized insurance, it's still very expensive. Haven't found a Medicare-based plan from any insurance company that will cover it, so if you're retired or disabled, trying to live on a fixed income, you're pretty much out of luck. Am learning that as we age, if we're not fortunate enough to have had everything go "right" in our lives, we might now be expendable. Both nasal and IV treatment prohibit driving after treatment, so people who don't have family or friends to help have the added expense of transportation. If TKS was further away from me, I couldn't have done it, and I live in NE Dallas. Paying 100% out of pocket for treatment makes it inaccessible for so many of us. I wonder how many suicides happen when people finally give up after years of taking antidepressants that don't work or have unacceptable side effects, who have had ECT or TMS, all with no symptom improvement. Kept thinking that FDA approval would be forthcoming soon and make treatment less costly, so tried hard to keep going. Spent countless hours researching, making calls, nothing. Finally called the FDA in September and very nice PERSON provided ph #s to two pharmaceutical companies with pending requests. Both companies said their requests didn't include treatment of depression, but wouldn't explain. Did more digging and found that because pharmaceutical companies can't make it profitable, it's no longer even on the table. Doesn't look like it will happen any time soon, if at all. Cried for a few days then started selling stuff and was able to pay for initial series of treatment. Thank you, God! Due to strong faith beliefs, have never been suicidal, so didn't get an immediate "boost." Life-issues that worsen depression haven't been resolved, and meds don't solve everything. BUT anxiety decreased right away and after initial series, debilitating depression seems to be lifting after 25 yrs. I can feel a difference and to stabilize, even incrementally, would be life-changing. Must now take radical steps and sacrifice some basic needs to continue treatment. I'll cut way back on everything and trust God to protect me. The payoff - if it happens like I think it will - will make the hardship worth it. If it doesn't, I'll accept that, but God has opened a door! PS - If you decide to do this, create a well-considered playlist and wear headphones. No dance music!

I would give Holman Family Service a -5 stars if Yelp would allow it. Initially, my experience was…read moregreat. I was skeptical, but Shaheedra, my therapist, made all of the inhibitions diminish instantly. She was AMAZING! I wish I could say the same for management (specifically Aisha Holman). Although she is the business owner, she has exhibited some skeptical billing practices...to the point of being unethical and illegal. If you are a client, please keep a watchful eye on your billing. My therapist can attest, I paid my copay after each session to keep my balance at $0. My bank account was charged an unauthorized payment of almost $700. After inquiring with my insurance company, Aisha processed insurance claims and charged me full price after accepting my copays for several dates of service. She eventually responded on the portal stating I signed a form expressing I had insurance but wanted to be charged as a self-pay client. She also said I signed a consent form for the practice to charge my card without further authorization. How ridiculous does that sound? I signed no such form. Aisha refused to process the claim through my insurance and refund the payment. I have repeatedly requested a call, a copy of the signed form, and a refund. She does not respond. There were other fraudulent instances, but I can't go into details as this may be pending litigation. I have since reported this practice to the proper regulating board. If you are considering this business, I suggest you rethink it. I know other clients have been affected as I have spoken to at least one other. Please report any questionable activity. She has to stop taking advantage of clients seeking therapy!

Leading up to working with Celeste, I was carrying a bag of stones on my back. Celeste helped me understand that I wasn't just carrying that weight emotionally, my body was feeling it too. I was exhausted, overweight and depressed. She explained that every regret, betrayal, heartbreak, guilt, and painful memory we refuse to release can become another stone in that bag. My therapy revolved around .. how do I finally put the bag down? Hypnosis therapy, after a few sessions .. I began to see my pain was real. What happened mattered. But I didn't have to keep carrying it every single day. Celeste gave me a custom hypnosis mantra that has helped me stay grounded and stable. What I got out of this experience was a reset button. She definitely changed something inside me. This I know because I'm writing this review four years after our last session. Today, I accept what cannot be changed. Learned what must be learned. Put down the weight I was never meant to carry for the rest of my life. I'm rested, at peace with my life and I've lost 60lbs. For me, letting go didn't mean forgetting, excusing, or endlessly hashing it out until somehow the ending changed. It meant accepting that the past cannot be rewritten but the rest of my story can. It's about no longer allowing what happened to define who I am or what I deserved in this life. Thank you, Celeste. I will forever be grateful for the way you helped me through the most painful experience of my life. Your gift helped me turn that pain into purpose and ultimately gave me the strength to start a support group. You saved my marriage and the friendships I almost lost because of my relentless desire to stay angry. I write this review to help those of you who are on the fence about this type of therapy. I encourage you to meet Celeste for a consultation ... and then decide for yourself if her program is the right choice for your situation. Peace be with you...

Celeste quickly peeled back the layers to understand what was holding me back, and delved into my subconscious memories to resolve my perfectionism. She is kind, empathetic, and authentic, and regularly re-calibrated how committed I was to the process, how I was feeling about progress, and what we still needed to work on - with a genuine care for my growth and well-being, and never a hint of an upsell from what was discussed on day 1. I can honestly say I have a deeper trust in my inner self and feel like this unlocked a peace that I couldn't have reached on my own.
