Beware though, a standard portion as a starter is 2 large bhajees and after you've eaten those you may be too full to eat your main. My personal recommendation would be the Lamb 'E' Doula. This is a lamb shank marinated in spices and is around medium heat level. You'll need to book for Fridays and Saturdays - its very popular and people come from all over to eat there. The Lime pickle is excellent here The prices are extremely reasonable, and they have a banquet night on Wednesdays which is only £9.99 a head, a bargain for such delicious food. They serve a limited range of beers and alcoholic beverages as well as soft drinks. It's easy to get to - just at the end of the high street. There is no parking for the restaurant, but you can park nearby on Church Avenue for 4 hours or it's free in the car park after 6.
