My first appointment left a lot to be desired. The appointment was rushed, impersonal and was more painful than I had experienced in the past. I received no explanation about what they were doing and why. I was left next to patients only separated by a hospital sheet, hearing their conversations which made it very hard to relax. I was told to return that very week. When I returned, again I was treated like a number, rushed in and rushed out. That time it hurt, a lot! I am tolerant to pain but when I told him he just kept saying "big mosquito" instead of replacing the needle! The receptionist asked me to return again in the same week. Finally I explained that it was too much and I only have so much insurance. She gave me a dirty look and said fine. She then proceeded to add me to the next week! I will never return to this place. Customer service and environment was very poor to say the least!

My massage therapist was Karlo. I got an excellent 90-minute full-body therapeutic massage. The…read morefirst 30-40 minutes were quite intense, as he worked out the knots and kinks from my shoulders and back. If you ask for lots of pressure (as I always do), be prepared to get it as Karlo is a very strong guy. So the first half was definitely more therapeutic than relaxing. The second half of the massage was more soothing, a welcome relief from the deep tissue work. It was great - I think I was zoning in and out because I was so relaxed. The real sign of a good therapeutic massage comes in the next 24 hours. My understanding is that during massage, toxins are released, and they may make you sleepy. I had a really deep sleep that night; it's rare when I don't get up before my alarm goes off, but I was OUT. And during the day I could feel all the areas that Karlo had worked: they were tender, but not painful. I could tell that they weren't tensing up any more. Karlo is a very friendly, highly professional CMT: easy to talk to, and he knows what he's doing. The studio is clean and quaint, fairly typical - and well-located near Sherbrooke metro. My colleague told me about Nancy and when I saw her the first time, I had chronic stomach problems and I found that her treatment helped me a lot after the first session, so I started seeing Nancy for acupuncture treatment every week after and it has helped relieved my stomach issues tremendously. It's been 3 months now, and I see every 2 weeks because I found that her treatment for my general energy level was also helpful. I like that Nancy combines different treatment methods (acupuncture /guasha/cupping) when required because I did feel like a huge weight was lifted off my back (so to speak). I do recommend booking in advance and I like that I can check her availability on her website. Nancy is definitely highly recommended for her effective treatment methods.

First! I don't know…read morethat I'll realistically be in Montreal too often, but I felt compelled to write a review. As I often do, for either a really bad place or a really good one. I am studying to be a doctor, and I hope I can have a keen eye for the musculoskeletal anatomy like Tina does. I should have asked her what her background was. Basically, I've been having significant neck and lower back pain due to constant reading, studying and running. I have seen chiropractors more than a few times, but there are only a few good ones and even those seem to be ineffectual. She correctly diagnosed the problems I was having just by looking at me -- just as a good chiropractor would -- but her massage actually helped. It is clean and relaxing in there, which is all well and good, but I think you should go for the healing. I have to go home, but I will be trying out massage therapy from now on! Merci!!
