Great service and very knowledgeable! We walked out knowing we made a great decision.read more

USE CAUTION: SHEISTY…read more I came here to get appraisals on some collection items that I spent a lot of money on. I had no intention of selling some of these items but was curious on what they thought it would be worth. I was there maybe an hour before they closed which i thought it would be plenty of time. There were 2 employees that were going through the collection. The first guy had to walk away and sent over someone else. The second guy was telling me that my map collections were not originals. I had about 15 maps and I disagreed. He said he is an expert when it comes to anything paper. There is no way every map was a reprint. Then they went through my coin and bill collection. I had zero intentions of selling any of them but was curious about the values. They portray on their website that they are knowledgeable and professional coin appraisers. The way that they "grade" these coins and collectable items is by using Google search and Google lens. They knew what I had and knew how expensive these items were. They offered me $300. When I told them I could not accept that price because one of the maps in my collection was worth a little over $100. They were telling me I was ripped off. I had assumed the $300 was for the maps only. I was floored when they said $300 for everything and started crying because deep down I knew every item was worth way more than that. Then they started whispering to eachother. One of my books that I brought in was worth a minimum of $2000 and that would be in the worst condition. Then offered me $400 for everything. I declined that offer as well but then here is when they took advantage of me with their sheisty tactics. 1: they saw how crushed i was when they lowballed me. They gaslit me saying everything was fake and or worthless 2: they saw that I was crying and shaking because I was informed everything i brought in wasn't worth anything 3: they knew I had at least one type of disability because I had my service dog 4: they became anxious and kept repeating that I needed to make a decision because they needed to close and only had 30 minutes left until they needed to leave (understandable but created anxiety and made me feel rushed to make a decision). I do feel like that was intentional. Maybe it was or maybe it wasn't but that is what I believe. 5. As I mentioned earlier, they noticed my emotional state, they gaslit me and created a stressful and chaotic environment as well as making me rush to make a decision. This resulted in me agreeing to the $400. I walked out questioning myself and was not happy with the whole interaction. I would guess they purchased each item in my collection for $0.10 a piece. I am extremely upset with myself for agreeing to sell my collection. In the end, I did make the decision to accept the offer. However, I do believe I was taken advantage of. I spoke to a neighbor about this shop and she was also ripped off. She was given misinformation regarding the actual value of her $2 bill collection. I did read the reviews beforehand and read very positive reviews. Do not be fooled because this shop is not honest and will rip you off. SHEISTY!

I visited in September 2019 while on an Arizona (Grand Canyon) trip with my friend. We stayed in…read morethe city of Flagstaff so on a Friday after breakfast, we took an hour to explore downtown Flagstaff. My friend Melanie wanted to look for small gems (or Crystals?) for her boyfriend so we stopped into the store. INSIDE - this is a cool store with all sorts of ornament looking things. They sell pottery, jewelry, natural hair and skin products, carvings, herbs, spices, and tea. My friend bought a small elephant shaped stone thing for her boyfriend. I don't know the exact name for it but it looked cool. I ended up buying a small packet of loose leaf ginger tea with a tea sifter. The tea didn't taste good and it wasn't as strong as I would have liked. I love that the big paintings and stone carvings are made by local artists. SERVICE - Service was warm and pleasant. The young man who helped us while inside was nice. If you're a tourist visiting Flagstaff and you are looking for a unique store, then I recommend Winter Sun Trading. **** - 166 total reviews in 2019 - 375 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 29 December 2019
