The Penthouse (formerly known as ShowGirls) is a upscale gentlemen's club in North Beach. The club is a full bar alcohol club and that means it's topless entertainment. The following is a full breakdown of the club: CLUB LAYOUT: The club has two levels. The main floor has a full bar and 2 stages (Main and side stage by the bar). Seating area is near the stage, to the rear of the club adjacent to the bar and lounge area near the stage. The lounge area is for dances or VIP seating/bottle service. The second floor is a VIP area which consists of a smaller bar, tables and private booths as well as the champagne rooms/private rooms for dances. The second floor has a full view of the main stage from above which makes it convenient to throw dollars on the main stage below. The "Rain" effect here is pretty nice. The club is a full service kitchen and a full menu is available. You can have steak to tacos, salads and whatever the daily special is. Drink prices are mid range of what you would expect at most upscale lounges in the city. Restroom facilities are located upstairs and are clean and well maintained. PARKING: Valet parking is available as well as street parking **NOTE** READ THE PARKING SIGNS IF YOU PARK ON BROADWAY or SIDE STREETS. Depending on the night you come,you will be subject to parking tickets and even tow away if you park past the hours posted! Nothing kills a great night out like a fucking parking ticket or worse...paying ~$600 to get your car out of impound PRICES: Cover charge here runs from $10-$30 depending on the night and time you arrive. I highly recommend trying to get a hold of a discount card or ask the cashier/door person about a Facebook check in for a discount on the cover charge. There used to be a text code for a $10 discount but I am not sure if it still works (35530) I believe they also have an app available for download which may also provide discounts on cover. Drink prices as previously mentioned are on the upper mid range as you would find in most upscale bars/lounges in the city (beer $6-7, shots $7-$13; specialty cocktails $15-$20. The food used to be very good here but you'll have to do your own research as I don't make it a habit to dine in strip clubs. Dance Prices: The dance prices are all over the board. Dances performed at your table or in the lounge/bar area (couches) are $20, 3 dances for $100 in private areas away from the public view and ultimate privacy champagne rooms are $350 per half hour. This is standard pricing for the most part but each club's prices may slightly differ. Do your own research and don;t be afraid to ask managers or doormen what the prices are. DO NOT ASK THE GIRLS THE PRICES. ASK Club staff and then you may confirm with the girls after you know what the standard pricing is. This goes for ANY club you visit in any city,state or country. MANAGEMENT: The management here has undergone some changes and the current managers here are very professional, friendly and greet the guests. They are courteous and are not adverse to doing the legwork in order to accommodate customers. If you have any questions, concerns or comments, do not hesitate to ask for a manager. GIRLS: Here is the bread & butter, what you have here runs the gamut..you will find black, white, asian, latina and everything in between. Depending on the night you arrive, there may be 10-40 girls. The weekends tend to have the most girls on the floor (Thurs-Sat)with Sun-Weds as the slower nights. **As a side note, you may want to drop in during the last week of the month on any days since rents are typically due on the first of the month ; ) For the most part majority of the girls are pretty attractive, the biggest delineating factor between the girls is their attitude and social skills. Here is where you will need to determine what it is you're looking for. While some girls have very nice personalities and are very social and easy to talk to, others simply have NO interpersonal skills or communication skills. Now depending on your preference, you may have to sift thru all of them or at least a good dozen to find what you are looking for. Some honorable mentions are: Kitty, Brittany, Colette, Kimberly, Mila and Jade. OVERALL: Understand that weekends are probably the most busy and Sun-Weds tend to be a little slower. I prefer the slower nights as I do not prefer packed crowds but that's up to you. A gentleman's club with a touch of modern day style, food, & fun. I have been to this club when it was Boys Toys, then Showgirls, now to Penthouse. From the way it looked & was before, this is major major upgrade. The feel of the club, makes me feel like I'm not in SF anymore. No matter where you go & chill at, once spot has a different vibe than the next. Whether you are upstairs pouring money on the girls or sitting down for dinner or downstairs to enjoy a show from the main stage. I love love the lit up stage & the see-through champagne fridge. I have invited friends to come & check out the club, from them especially the women, I hear that it gives them a reason to want to go to a strip club. Clubs in Vegas, do not look like this one! So, it's pretty beneficial to have a Gentleman's Club with Fine Dining to go to. I've described to my friends, if the W had a strip club, Penthouse would be it. I went to this club last Friday, the day after their Grand Opening for the first time. This club looks freaking amazing. Everywhere you went to, in the club, had its own different vibe. Down stairs was where all the action was & I moved around to upstairs. There was this open area above the main stage where you could throw money onto the entertainers. That was pretty fun. There's even a glass stage on the second floor! I didn't feel like I wasn't in SF. For a gentleman's club, this place is very modern & sexy looking. I tried the steak & it was thebombdotcom! The only thing was their mixed drinks from the bar is very watered down. Other than that, I'm coming back! I give it 5 starts, it was really all worth the money spent. After flying into San Francisco and hearing about this building with shady ass humans in it I was embarrassed to even spent a dime here. I was told to come to this establishment by a teammate and or coach. And after being there for an hour or so with this Brazilian girl and it was clear that this girl was not normal. Since I was a disabled Military Veteran i knew this female had a mental and or a physical disability. So I told the bartender and the upstairs big black fat guy that worked in the VIP section that this girl had a disability and guess what everybody ignored me. Im not a strip club guy... was not planning on going there, especially in the middle of a work week. However i was approached by the stunning Alex, was vexed by her charm and had to follow her inside of the club. Wow!!! This place rocked!!!! I came by yesterday (Sunday) and they had this industry night going on that was off the hook!!! They had like 6 or 7 Dj's spinning on the main stage and they had beautiful girls dancing!!!! what more can a person ask for??? It was a hybrid of a strip club meets a dance club....amazing!!! It had been a while since I had been to a strip club and was surprised with what i found at the Penthouse Club. The two times I have been now IIhave found the bartenders and staff very friendly and welcoming. While like most clubs the music can be overwhelming the atmosphere here great. I have found one entertainer by the name of Taylor who keeps me coming back for more. A great conversation over a drink and night I won't soon forget in one of the clubs more private settings. Best strip club in SF! The only problem is they are focusing too much on the food and renovations and not enough on the women! Beautiful women!!!! Wonderful women!!!! Please treat them well because THEY are what make men come here and empty their wallets. NOT the food. NOT the interior design. NOT the management or floor staff.
