I booked a drop off and a pick up to DTW for March 2026. The driver picked up /dropped off our party of four to DTW on Saturday afternoon March 14th. I had provided him the return flight information, flight number and airline for our return ride back from the airport to home March 22. I did not receive a confirmation text or email I texted the owner to remind him of our pick up and our flight number and airline. The flight got delayed three times due to the mess of the TSA shortages in this country/government shut down. Beyond my control. The owner was in Florida and seemed confused and was re-asking me all the questions that were texted to him. His comment was "I get a lot of texts" . Then he told me due to the second delay coming into DTW that he didn't have anybody available because they had to get up early in the morning for Monday morning rides. We were stranded at the airport at 3:30 in the morning. And had to make other arrangements. I had booked this weeks in advance of the trip and it felt like it was only convenient for them to take us to the airport but due to the late arrival, it was not convenient for them. They shouldn't name their company Van's express Airport 24 Hours seven days a week when it's actually whatever happens to be convenient for them ,regardless if you book weeks in advance a round-trip pick up. I will never use this service again. It was horrible and unreliable. read more

Vandy's Express is the Only airport transportation I will use! They are prompt, safe drivers who offer reasonable pricing. I used metro car previously and feared for my life as the driver was exceeding the speed limit and driving recklessly! I also feared for my wallet as the price was outrageous! All I can say is , I never had a better car service than Vandy's . our driver Chris went way over the goal line to service us. We took the train from Chicago on Monday July 28, the day of the heavy rain . The train was held up at Dearborn due to down wires. Amtrak said they recommend if you were to get picked up in Royal Oak, have your ride come to Dearborn. I called our driver to come to Dearborn, 15 min. later the train left Dearborn, Chris was on his way, I called and told him STOP an d go back to R.Oak. He finally got us home safe and sound. Called them late Tuesday afternoon for a Wednesday noon ride to DTW. They were able to give me a ride, very reasonably priced; showed up on time and had a good ride. There was some traffic issue, but the driver knew ways around it and we weren't delayed at all. I liked talking to the driver, it made the trip go fast. But if someone didn't want to talk I think he would have respected that. Paid by credit card and got the electronic receipt by the next morning. The price they quoted was the price paid - no hidden fees. I'd recommend them. read more

Just about the very, very BEST - on time, attentive, helpful AND good prices. Been using Vandy's for years to get us to and from the airport and just tonight at the beginning of the only real snowstorm this season, called for a special run to the hospital to be on time for 5 in the morning check-in for a long-needed surgery- "Yeah, I can do that." read more

We arranged transportation to and from Detroit Metro Airport with the owner and he forgot to pick us up from the airport! The only reason I gave the company 2 stars is because he took us to the airport but then left us stranded when we flew back home. read more

We have been using Vandy's Express for our airport transportation for about a year now. I have been very happy with their service. Their vans are clean and seem to be well maintained. Their drivers are pleasant and drive safely. You can pay by cash or credit card. They call and confirm the pickup time the night before after reviewing the weather report for your pick up time. It is so nice not having to deal with the traffic, parking, etc. read more

If you are using this service for Airport Shuttle, highly recommended that you find another method of transportation. My organization uses this company very frequently for round trip shuttle services and we usually travel with a group of 4 or more. No matter how many people is in the group, everyone in the group will be charged the same rate. For the amount that's being charged, the automobile that this company uses to transport people are not in the best shape. The vehicles are older models, and not in the best mechanical shape or I would not be sitting in the airport waiting for them. I called soon as my plane had landed and the response was that they are trying to locate another driver being that the driver that was suppose to pick me up at 4pm vehicle had broken down. Promptness isn't there motto. they have been to either make you late for a flight and are guaranteed to pick you up late upon arrival. They do get your flight information upon departure but still will be approximately an hour late picking you up. This is my personal experience with company, can not tell paying customers to do with their money, but I can give advice on how to get a bang for your buck and this company is not a bang. read more

My co-workers and I used their service before and all went well. This year when we landed at the airport at 9pm I called them to let them know we had arrived. He wasn't sure who I was and then said he didn't have anyone at the airport now and we would have to wait 45 minutes for a ride to pick us up. He said he had a van break down and that is why we didn't have a ride. He was very short with me when I asked how we were to get home and suggested we take the Metro cab if we didn't want to wait 45 minutes for him to dispatch another car. We took the Metro Cab. I received a portion of the money back in an envelope with no apology or note within a week. You will be taking your chances when scheduling this company for a pick up. read more
