The grounds are gorgeous, with plenty of room to ride and options to suit each skillset. You can also tell how well-taken care of the horses are just by how affectionate they are with Carin; she does an absolutely incredible job with them and it shows. She is also an amazing instructor, and I couldn't imagine being taught by anyone else. (Nor would I want to!) From the ease of the booking process to the day-of execution, the entire process was 10 stars. Hannah and her team went above and beyond (which I now understand is their standard MO.) They effortlessly managed all of our decor, seemlessly and joyfully wrangled 12+ children (and twice as many extremely excited adults.) The experience was educational and extremely interactive (We decorated mini horses! We held/pet so many incredible animals! The kids rode unicorns!) Even the coloring pages had our daughter's name printed on them. There was not one aspect of the day that felt like an after thought. The attention to detail and the care they show is so amazing. I really can't thank Hannah and her crew enough for hosting (far and away) the best birthday party my daughter has ever had. Core memories were made by all of us.

Went to their winter lights event with my two small children. We had to fight to use the train ride that we paid for since they refused to refund us. No one could tell us where the animals were that we had gotten feed for. The entire thing was confusing and disappointing and every single encounter we had with staff was aggressively rude. This was absolutely not a family friendly experience. We were charged over $90 for 20min of wandering around the property confused and insulted by the teenagers working there. After a full blown confrontation we were refunded $18 because they decided to close early without warning. Their response to us was that we were welcome to let our kids play in the dark for the remainder of the time we paid for if we wanted. Still can't believe the attitude the staff felt entitled to give paying customers just there to have fun with their toddlers. We will happily never be returning.

I currently board my 30 year old gelding with her. I have him on full board, and he couldn't get better care, she treats him as if he were her own. There is a heated tack room, with cable TV and a REAL bathroom. It's hard to find barns with those around here. The barn itself offers box stalls, and is in fantastic condition. There are also a few in/out stalls available. The outside is beautifully maintained. The horses all have decent sized individual paddocks, with water spouts and protection from the elements in each one. There is an outside wash stall, a large outside arena with excellent lighting. A newly renovated and large round pen. They offer full board, semi rough, and rough board. All at extremely reasonable prices. They offer clinics, cow sorting and fun shows on property, and travel to all sorts of area shows. I can't say it enough. My horse and I absolutely love it here.

They took the time to fit each of us with the right horse and properly fit our saddles and equipment. That takes time -- especially with five different riders -- and we really appreciated the care they put into making sure everyone was comfortable and safe. I had read some reviews mentioning that the staff were impatient or that the ride didn't begin exactly on time. I honestly don't understand how anyone could expect everything to happen like clockwork when you're dealing with horses. I grew up on a ranch, so I understand firsthand the amount of work that goes into caring for horses and getting them ready for riders. Horses are not machines, and sometimes things simply take the time they take. One thing I especially appreciated was that they seemed to care just as much about the horses as they did about the riders. The horses appeared to be very well cared for, and the staff were attentive to their needs throughout the process. That meant a lot to me. A good trail ride isn't just about getting people on horses and heading out -- it's about making sure the horses are comfortable, healthy, properly prepared, and treated well too. The three women working with us were clearly working very hard. They were constantly preparing, helping riders, and caring for the horses. I'm sure there are more people behind the scenes, but these three were absolutely wonderful. We had a great ride, our children had a great time, and we felt very well taken care of. I'm glad we chose Sunset Stables and would definitely recommend them to others. This review is completely unsolicited. I simply felt that after reading some of the negative reviews, our experience deserved to be shared. The kindness, patience, and hard work we experienced genuinely stood out to us, and I wanted to give credit where credit is due.

Orchard Hill is a fabulous equestrian facility for horse owners and non owners alike. They are very professional and take excellent care of the horses. There is something for everyone and no pressure to take lessons or conform to anyone's style of riding. The people are great. Adults and kids alike. They have wonderful school horses and trainers and the property can't be beat for turnout, trails and jumping, etc. They have a fantastic summer camp which I always enjoyed being around to see children enjoying and learning all about horses.
