My dog had a collapsed windpipe and had stopped breathing just as I came screaming into their parking lot. I ran in and all hands were immediately on deck. Her temp was very high and she couldn't breathe. They put a tube down her throat and the staff worked to cool her down. Two hours later I took her home and put her to bed. It was an incredible save. I love this clinic.

Today, when I made an appointment, they wanted me to go fill out a separate form for every animal, apparently a part of a new policy that would have to be accomplished ahead of every visit. Considering that I value my time and was only looking for the annual shots (that should already be a part of their record), I asked for clarification and sought a way to bypass this needless task. They refused to budge. As a result, I pulled my 14 active records and will be using a different vet. The one star rating is reflective of not only this ridiculous new policy, but the complete lack of customer service in the face of a completely reasonable request.

After calling 4 different clinics for an estimate (something my dad taught me as a young girl to get at least three estimates). Kokopelli was by far the most reasonable estimate. I was able to get in the same day as Porcupine quills can cause a lot of problems if not removed. Chase received a wellness exam, rabies vaccine and removal of the Porcupine quills all for under $145. I now consider Kokopelli Animal Clinic my new provider for both Chase and my 14-year-old dog Drake. I cannot say enougho about Kokopell Animal CLINIC and I recommend it for your fur babies.

I first came to this clinic when Dr. Hamel transferred here from another office. She is by far the best vet I have ever used. I was first referred to her when one of my fosters had terrible allergies and numerous vets couldn't figure it out. After my first appointment with Dr. Hamel, the dogs allergies started to improve and over the course of a couple of visits she dialed in the treatment that kept this dog comfortable and not an itchy mess. The rescue I work with also started using them on my recommendation as well, and I find it so interesting that to my knowledge five of the people who have adopted dogs that I have fostered are still using Blue Cross and mainly Dr. Hamel for their dogs. I have heard nothing but glowing remarks from all of them. One of the other things I really like about this Clinic is that if I have an urgent need for a vet and my regular vet is not available they generally can get me in the same day with one of their other vets. And I've seen several of their other vets over the years and they've always felt that my dogs got really good care. Now I have to say that good vet care is not often cheap and Blue Cross is no exception to that rule. I don't think they are super expensive but they're not the price of a discount vet Clinic. Clearly I am OK with their pricing as I am there regularly and feel like I am getting really top-notch vet care and I'm paying a fair price for it. I would highly recommend this Clinic an in particular, Dr. Hamel to anyone.
