Upon our early/Punctual arrival, Barb and Robert were still preparing the horses for our trail ride, so my husband and I took a little, exploratory walk around the ranch. We were able to meet several Horses and a very sweet Goat. One of the horses is Ziva... she's an absolute Lover! We returned back to the stable to meet our Horses, Dancer and Houston. Dancer was my Riding Buddy and he was a very good Boy. I Love Him. My husband was paired with Houston, a beautiful Painted and also a very good Boy. Barb and Robert assisted us with mounting and briefed us on what to expect of the trail as well as our horses disposition and preferred methods of control, i.e. DO'S/DON'TS. They were Super Nice and Funny TOO! The trail was beautiful and serene. WE HAD SOOO MUCH FUNNN!!! AND Will Definitely Return , as we are local residents. I'm so pleased to know that I can travel just a few moments down the road and feel so far removed from the hectic bustle of Disney. I Can't Wait to go Back. Dancer knew the trail well and kept up with the other horses so I could enjoy the beautiful Green Swamp and some great conversation with the owners. II Ventures would. We were so enthralled in the amazing variety of animals here. Each one seemed to have a unique story and a unique personality. Manyof the animal areas we under some degree of construction to make the area better, which is great because they truly have a great thing going. The animals seemed pretty interactive and enjoyed "communicating" with you when you engaged them. The volunteers and staff are friendly and informative, and obviously very hard working. We will certainly be back.

They have a trampoline park that is divided into different sections, including a basketball area and a dodgeball area, and various obstacle courses. They also have ropes courses and a climbing wall. The kids were very active running from area to area. We were there on a Friday afternoon, and the place was pretty empty. There was plenty of parking outside, and the place seemed pretty clean. There is a snack bar that includes alcoholic beverages (all day mimosas for $3!). It wasn't outrageously priced, which was nice. Staff was friendly.

The charming downtown area contains many restaurants and shops in historic buildings. Today the park still serves as a gathering place for the community. In 2007, Downtown City Park was redesigned to enhance its recreation and beauty for residents and visitors to the city of Auburndale. In the eastern corner of the park is a number of umbrella shaded picnic tables and an engaging playground that is fenced in for safety. The playground area has an artificial turf, cushioning surface to protect little knees and bottoms. The playground has a multilevel tower with climbing structures and two slides. There is also a play train which is a nod to Auburndale's history as a railroad town. Civil engineer Louis Randolph Mclain, who was working for the railroad on the extension of the system between Lake Alfred and Saddle Creek, is credited with founding Auburndale. The historic 1927 Seaboard Air Line Rail Depot is in the northern part of the park. The park also has restrooms and a historic bandstand with a stage for community events like the annual CityFest music festival and other events throughout the year. In the western part of the park is the Rotary Butterfly Garden with butterfly attracting native Florida plants. This well maintained and family friendly park offers a great place to spend time with family. Whether coming for exercise, play, or a special event, this wonderful spot capture the spirit of historic Auburndale.

I'm a Florida native and have visited Winter Haven many times over the years, but I had never had…read morethe opportunity to experience the Chain of Lakes from the water. I'm so glad I finally did the Living Water Boat Cruises pontoon tour--it gave me an entirely different perspective on the area. One of the highlights for me was cruising past the former Cypress Gardens property, now part of LEGOLAND. I remember visiting Cypress Gardens as a child, so it was fascinating and nostalgic to see the property from the water, including the historic Florida-shaped swimming pool that is being restored and the beautiful old Florida vegetation. Our captain and guide, Sage, was excellent. She is also a Florida native and was extremely knowledgeable about the local history, the lakes, and the wildlife. During the tour we saw ospreys, otters, an alligator, and many different birds. We even got to watch floatplanes landing and taking off on the lakes, which was an unexpected treat. We toured the southern portion of the Chain of Lakes early in the morning, which was perfect because it was an extremely hot Florida day with temperatures expected in the 90s. The timing made the trip very comfortable and enjoyable. I especially appreciated that I happened to be the only guest on my tour and they still accommodated me rather than canceling. It ended up feeling like a wonderful private tour. This was such an enjoyable way to experience a part of Florida that I had never really seen before, despite growing up here. I would highly recommend it to visitors as well as longtime Floridians who want to see Winter Haven and the Chain of Lakes from a completely different perspective
