They had some new items like Funko Pops and Squishmallows, while I was there, but I guess these depend on donations, perhaps these were from a business (?) They also had some used video games and controllers. They also have (new) Big Brothers and Big Sisters merchandise. Staff are friendly. I believe that many of them are volunteers. They are located in the Emerald Plaza. Lots of free parking in the plaza.

Everything from clothing to furniture to books to dishes. The first thing that I noticed were the signs placed in the entrance "please leave big purses and bags at cash, we reserve the right to search your bag," and so on. Maybe there has been a lot of theft? Not sure, but it did not give me a friendly first impression. No greeting, or acknowledgment throughout the 15 minutes browsing the store, but there were plenty of staff on the sales floor for customer assistance/questions. I did not find that there was a great selection, it was like walking through grandmas basement. Nothing caught my eye here, and I was not "wowed" by anything in particular. What stands out about this thrift store than others, is that it is mostly volunteers, and the majority of the profit goes towards their partnership with the bible league of Canada. I was actually hoping to find a shower curtain to update mine but nothing struck my fancy. Since I was in the mood for looking at household items, I browsed the kitchenware section and then noticed the clothing rack at the front of the store. If you are doing Zoom meetings or engaging with family members on Skype or other apps, you know that you are always in need of colourful tops--blouses, T-shirts, sweaters, and of course, scarves. Light, frothy tops layered over a camisole are perfect for summer Zooms and as when the temps cool in the evening, a long-sleeve, form-fitting spandex garment can be worn underneath. O la la, c'est très chic!. Along with several blouses, I noticed a boho bag that looked as if it might be from the sixties. Then, as I was rushing out the door to dash between the raindrops, my eye caught a multi-strand, copper necklace. The jewellery section is sort of hidden along a wall near the coffee cup section and might be a bit tangled from my last visit but well-worth a looksee.

Refuses to issue a refund (or even store credit) when items are missing pieces. I called the store…read moreafter purchasing 3 games for my son because they were all missing one or more pieces. Was told "that's common but they are final sale". I explained I understood games can be final sale but then they are unable to be played due to the missing pieces a solution should be found. She replied "we can check every game we get" which I understand but again, when you spend $20 on items that are DONATED to the store, how can you justify not providing a credit. Will no longer be donating or advising any friends/family to donate or shop here.

But they always offer amazing price and this is why I keep on coming back. Every profit is given back to the community. The place has started to get very noticed. So now on Thursday it is pack (full) The place is very small so it definitely gets crowded. That is the only downside that I can find about this store. This is A real thrift store, not like value village... You won't be finding a pair of leggings for 10 bucks... pants, jeans are three dollars. This of course brings a lot of people. Baskets are limited, and carts are also limited. The staff are all volunteers, always happy to help. I love to get my books here! 50cent I believe the most expensive one or 2$.
