The local Sutton clinic features one veterinarian, nurse, and office manager. Even with a small staff, the hours are impressive. I've typically been able to call their office in the morning and get an appointment for our dog the same day. The clinic has also been able to rush documentation for a pet passport so that our dog could visit the European Union with us. The staff are very professional, and the prices quite reasonable. Dr. Simon Perry is amenable and funny, and really cares about your pet. I can rest easy, knowing that our dog is looked after by such an excellent veterinary clinic.

Lydon was absolutely perfect when it came to having our female kittens spayed, talking us though the process and even patiently permitting us to rearrange the appointment when owners' cold feet sowed needless doubts over whether the cats had finished their season (potentially complicating the spay procedure). The truth is, Lydon takes as much care over humans as it does its furrier customer base.

We first had to rush our cat…read moreIfrit to their 24 hour service a few months ago and were so kind and understanding when I explained my situation (not only a poor student but a poor disabled student relying on public transport) and let me work out first bus I could get to get Ifrit seen ASAP. Recently had to return to Manor Vets Edgbaston as it appears Ifrit has cystitis again and they're currently processing his urine samples today - a rush to make sure no underlying problems! By phone they are incredibly kind and patient, very understanding, and gave me numbers for the Cats Protection and Friends of the Animals for badly needed help with the cost of vets consultation and neutering fee for which I am incredibly grateful for. Some vets can be quite snobby and look down on lower-income people, but this recently refurbished state of the art veterinary practice is far from snobby. Treats were provided for the furry patients which helped Ifrit relax in the waiting room, and everyone there was definitely a pet person, creating a calming, warm, welcoming atmosphere. They've also given brilliant advice on foods that help his condition and it is little touches like that make me so grateful we chose Manor Vets.

He is no longer with me .They put my boy to sleep.Its put me off rescuing another

However not all treatments are free for eg my dog which had a dental problem needed i was told some toothpaste for dogs this i was told was £9 so no treatment is not entirely free or donation based . When i raised the fact that i could not afford this medication with the receptionist i was told well you have had £20 of treatment already and only donated £5 .......... why is it i asked that the amount you donate is not anonymous indeed it is displayed on the vets treatment screen when you are in surgery .Oh she said that doesnt mean anything " . Well i said if it doesnt mean anything why are you using it as an eg to compare it to the amount i donated ? Because if i had donated £100 you wouldnt have used such an eg would you ? She said nothing and refused to hand over the toothpaste unless i had £9 , which unfotunately having already donated the maximum i could afford that day i could not pay so had to leave the medication . So the word donation is really not the case it is not a discreet payment and the amount is clearly visible to the vet that you have donated , it is natural to wonder why this is isnt it ? After all the vet is there to treat your pet and seeing as this is a charity cliinic designed to help those without the means to pay quite why the amount you donate should be clearly evident to the vet is indeed questionable . People that attend clinics such as these are often embarrased that they have not the funds to look after their pet , why then make this more embarrasing by publishing the amount donated by that person to the very vet treating the persons animal , that is without doubt quite quite wrong . You can only conclude that the donation being showed to the vet may indeed detract from any treatment you may receive .

Pype Hayes Veterinary Centre is my preferred choice when it comes to looking after my four legged friend. The staff here is friendly and extremely helpful. The vets themselves are knowledgeable and caring. The centre encourages you to register your pet online and they'll invite you to an Introductory Consultation. The centre regularly runs special offers, at the time of my visit there was 33% off Micro-chipping with a full vaccination course as well as free worming for all kittens and puppies at first vaccination. I signed up for the Pet Health Care Plan, it spreads my care costs over the year with affordable monthly payments rather than huge bills. The plan includes; annual booster vaccinations, full health check twice yearly, year round flea prevention and worming and much more. The cost is £10.00 for a rabbit, £11.00 for a cat, £11.50 for a small dog up to £16.00 for a big fat dog.

The waiting room is pleasant, clean and tidy with plenty of leaflets, pet toys and foods to browse or buy. It creates the perfect first impression. The receptionists are equally lovely, putting the customer at ease whilst making a big fuss of the patients. The vetinary nurses and the vets are just as kind. It seems it is their policy to be animal lovers first and pet care professionals second. Whilst a trip to the vets is always stressful for animals and owners alike, a visit to Ashwoods is as pleasant as it can be. I can't recommend it highly enough. The only downside is that the car park is rather small, making it tricky to manoeuvre your 'ambulance'. Off-site parking is pretty tricky too as Ashwoods is on the main Lichfield Road.

The lady on the desk make it sound like the fault is on me that I came to the wrong branch, which is unacceptable and quite rude since the email I got is a proof of that. The only good thing is she managed to request appointment in the other branch which is in the other side of the city and is quite hassle to get there because of the distance and there is an repair on the other place so the parking will be a nightmare. Please own it if you made a mistake, that's the point of the customer service. Don't make it sound like your patient made a mistake and make us feel bad about it. My cat is already stressed, me and my fiancé also struggle about it, but please please don't make us feel even more worse with trying to put the blame on us. I really appreciate that you manage to get the appointment sorted in different place on the same day. Thank you for that. I have been a customer here since they very first opened. They have always been very professional…read moreand taken care of our little fury friends. They took great care of our dog Jasper, who had a slipped disc in his lower back. Several MRI scans later, he had an operation (not done at Rosewoood) which had complications and poor Jasper's back leg's were paralysed. We didn't give up and with the support of Rosewood we took care of him, he wasn't very mobile but he seemed happy. Three weeks from his operation we noticed his tail was twitching. Straight away we took him to Rosewood, where we noticed his toes felt sensation also. Staff and I in tears, we had hope. Weeks past, his twitch turned to a wag, his legs started to move, so we turned to our vets to see if any physiotherapy could be done. We arranged physio to take place, and he also went for hydrotherapy (which he hated!). Months past, he started to walk again. He never fully recovered, he could never run, but he was still the loving and happy dog which we all knew. If it wasn't for the staff at Rosewood we would have given up. Thank you. :)
