If you're looking for a place that welcomes you with open arms then look no further! Kru Patrick is the owner of Valor and he truly cares about his staff and anyone that walks through his doors. He does a lot for his community and for under privileged children in other countries. My 10 year old son has been attending VTC for two months now and I can already see a difference in his confidence. The coaches at Valor are all well trained and pay close attention to every detail. The coach to student ratio is exactly what we were looking for. The facility in Stockton is safe, clean, well lit and fully equipped with the best training products. We have seen boys, girls, men and women of all ages training hard and having fun. The place is full of energy!! I encourage anyone looking to improve their health, drop a few lbs., learn self defense and or compete at the highest level to come by and take a look for themselves. You won't be sorry! Thank you VTC for all you do. We are truly proud to be part of the family.

    Smiles and hope

It will be one year My son and I became involved at VALOR. Day 1 walking in after 3-4 mo. of hesitant thought. I was blinded by fear. The one regret I may ever have with VALOR is not coming in sooner.    When finally stepping foot in the door I realized quickly the place had no harsh ego.. Walking in your greeted with many loud welcoming "Hello's" in thai.. The environment is full with positive people who encourage, give great advice and feedback on more than Muay Thai but also on self worth, self respect, self acknowledgement, accountability.ect... Which go hand in hand in life and the sport. Respect for others and many more priceless values in life. The world can be a scary place and I want for my son community he can utilize to get through some hard or confusing even scary times. Learning to defend your self may save your life or someone else's. An active lifestyle is a healthy life style an active mindset will keep you busy and motivated to achieve goals and make amazing changes in life. The second you feel like "I can't" there's someone who will remind you. You can. The moments you don't believe in your self you are acknowledged by those who will never stop believing in you and look forward to seeing you. Always remember that you are absolutely unique, just like everyone else. The goal is to be better for yourself. It's important to be better than you were yesterday. VALOR Training Center feels like home. Coaches and the front desk administrators all have a way of brightening my day. My appreciation for VALOR is huge. However many don't know that when I started my journey I was at rock bottom. Life as you know has its ups and downs and I was feeling pretty low and Im thankful I stepped through the VALOR doors and became part of the VALOR family. Unfortunately my dad passed 7 months prior. I had lost my mom about 5 years earlier along with myself in some ways and my appetite.I hate to admit I wasn't very active or attentive for my kids. I was having trouble with anxiety and sleeping which made it even harder. My son was going through depression due to social separation and disconnect along with loss and lack of confidence he was bullied in school and didn't know why he even missed it I had no way out for him no solution it was rough and after a long 7 months I knew I was becoming weak, I was feeding the kids but not myself, I needed to eat better I knew I needed to be better for myself and my son and daughter I couldn't do it on my own but I didn't want to talk about it I just wanted to do something about it and being cooped up during COVID was not where I wanted to be as many of you understand... I needed something different something new...Well with a lil bit of curiosity and alot of hardwork and determination, constructive criticism open arms and listening ears I can now say I'm healthy and strong. My son has an outlet and great role models.I went from 90 pounds to 115 and lean. My 8 year old has not only lots of new friends but a six pack and eats like a grown adult and sleeps like a baby lol I'm the happiest I've been in a long time, and my son he is sweet, respectful and confident and ready to work towards the future however,  We know its not at the end of the journey we find happiness but along the way. The biggest room in the world, is the room for improvement. The knowledge gained is amazing for mental health and I highly recommend VALOR TRAINING CENTER to anyone no matter where you are in life. Its never too late to start especially when it comes to taking steps towards recovering your mental health and taking care of your body goals whatever those look like. Be kind in your self talk and step outside your comfort zone. Take hits in life with great composure. Get really good at something you hate. You'll be glad you did once you triumph over challenges. Through alot of physical and mental change I continue to do better at everything in life.Thankyou to the champions who give time and knowledge to help us each on our way. I'm super grateful & A very special Thankyou to Kru Patrick for your compassion & persistence in creating such a warm welcoming, positive life changing environment. You and everyone involved are truly appreciated thankyou for all your hard work and determination to help people. TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK. Thankyou for letting me be a part of it. Sincerely.-CQ

Black or brown folks will be ignored during classes. Sad, because the owners themselves are POC but they have very close ties to maga folks. They also promote people very easily. As long as you're paying, the 'master' doesn't care. Everyone gets a belt promotion. ***UPDATE*** Yelp seems to be hiding my review about this place. Let me add more info since it's so weird for my review to just disappear like that. I had a niece and nephew attend this place for a few years. At first things were great, then the owners got greedy and changed the timeframe of the classes as well as the quantity of classes you could take. They lost a lot of students because of this but those that were loyal stayed. My brother and sister in law contemplated on leaving since the classes were shorter and were only twice a week now instead of three times a week with an additional half hour. Oh, not to mention, THE PRICE STAYED THE SAME WITH THIS CHANGE. So not only were you paying MORE but got LESS. My nephew was on the spectrum and my niece was not. The difference in how they were treated was not what I was expecting. I came to a great amount of their lessons to watch but after seeing how the school was ran, couldn't bring myself to support this place. Obviously the decision to keep them there was not up to me but I couldn't stand it. Seeing the little black and brown kids get very obvious low standard treatment compared tho their Caucasian and Asian counterparts were incredibly sad. They are not at all prepared or even educated enough to handle children on the spectrum. The 'master' has lost his patience many times and tries to play it off but it's very obvious to those sitting and watching. Again, I would urge all black and brown parents to take their kids elsewhere.

He picked this school to train at! It was the atmosphere. The kids class are awesome! There are games involve, drills and friendly little competitions that kept kids very attentive (which is extremely difficult to do for 4,5,6 year olds). This gym is very clean and easy to get to (just west of I-5 freeway off of Hammer Lane). The classes are laid back and offers a very chill and stress free environment. I love that they play lots of 80's and reggae music in the background during classes. Tim and Stella are fantastic instructors! I liked so much for my son that I started training here too once I saw my son was getting after it! Honestly, I was apprehensive at first because I had a couple reasons: 1:I had an old neck injury and was scared of aggravating it, but I have not because everyone I roll with is super cool and respectful about my condition. 2: I train at another martial arts school; Tim and Stella are totally cool with it because they know I'm just trying to become a better martial artist. Everyone here is super cool and easy going. The instruction is first class. Hello, I started at PFT back in 2013 with Coach Carl who provided a positive and supportive…read moreatmosphere for all members. Unfortunately, Coach Carl moved to Texas. The current Coach, Tara, and her assistant, Veronica, has provided an unprofessional and uncomfortable environment which is very disappointing as that completely goes against what PFT is supposed to represent. There is a lack of respect and support for members when a concern is brought up. As members, we should feel comfortable to express any concerns without the fear of being judged and minimized. Sadly, they're unapproachable and they don't know how to manage concerns in a professional manner. They take things personal and make assumptions that are false. It's already difficult as it is to find a gym where we feel supported. Tara often promotes on PFT's social media as well as her website that all families are welcomed and that she cares about the family dynamic. Although she presents this image to the public, it is definitely not the case. Tara does not know how to manage her anger and becomes very defensive immediately if things don't go her way. She has been very disrespectful and made uncalled comments when I told her that I wanted to leave. I was put on the spot when I didn't need to give any reasoning as to why I was leaving. She was upset and wouldn't let things go. Tara's lack of professionalism and customer service was very apparent. This never happened with Coach Carl. Honestly, I would only return to PFT if Coach Carl came back as sole owner. He would never allow this behavior to happen nor partake in it especially as an owner and Coach. My health and overall well-being is my number one priority and that is why I decided to leave this toxic environment.

Hi there, I wanted to share an uncomfortable experience I had as a member at Pure Form Training…read more(PFT). I was treated poorly for bringing up a concern as I caught Veronica, one of our two coaches, giving advantages to members in a challenge we had. I soon was ignored and mugged everytime I came into class since I spoke to Veronica about my concern. Although I had photo proof, she did not follow through with resolving the problem nor took any accountability so I told Veronica we should just let things be as there was no work on her end being done to address the concern. Weeks later, I got a message from the head coach and owner of PFT, Tara, letting me know I could only speak to her. I got this through text message which took me time to process things as I attended Tara's morning class a few hours prior to receiving her text. She had the opportunity to speak to me in person and she didn't. Not once did Tara showed that anything was wrong in those weeks and when I spoke to her in person that morning in class. I took the time to explain to Tara thoroughly the concern I brought up to Veronica. I told Tara that I brought the concern up to Veronica as she was the coach working that day and it was regarding her. Tara proceeded by saying she would have done the same thing as Veronica by giving unfair advantages to other members. I got this dropped on me 2 days before Christmas although Tara knew about my concerns weeks prior. I told Tara that I could not continue being a member and that I wanted a refund. Tara sent me a long message with unsolicited advice. She did not respect the boundaries I was setting. Tara told me she would refund me, but that never happened until I followed up with her a week in a half later. She said she refunded me which she didn't. She finally refunded me and sent me a long message with very rude comments made towards me and telling me she doesn't do refunds because it's against her refund policy along with letting me know she had a business to run. There is a transparency problem as this policy that she speaks about was never made aware physically in the gym, on her website, social media, nor verbally. It wasn't until a week after I first asked for a refund that she created a no refund policy and shared it on her PFT instagram page along with raising her prices. I don't stand for any bully behavior, verbal abuse and disrespect. There is a lack of professionalism along with very poor work ethics and special treatments given to members that did not do the work. Each workout we do can be a lot on your body as the workouts are rigorous. Giving unfair advantages is very disrespectful for those members that actually did put in the time and did the work. I don't see no plausible reason as to why someone should be treated poorly for speaking up about a concern. I share this as I would not want anyone else to go through the same treatment nor experiences that I went through. Everyone should be able to work out in a safe and supportive environment.
