Based on my experience with SoMi Refinishing LLC, I would not recommend doing business with them. I…read morecontacted the business in November 2021 to refinish our kitchen counters and kitchen sink. I was told having the sink refinished would make it so it wouldn't stain or get scuffed from pots & pans anymore. Work was completed January 2022. The sink was sprayed Monday and the countertops were done T-Th. We did not use our sink until Thursday evening of that week, so the material had over 72 hours to dry and cure; I was told I could begin using the sink as I always had. Upon completion of the countertops my husband noticed some areas where the counter was cracked/smeared/peeling. We notified SoMi and were told they'd come out to fix the countertops, it is now mid February and they still haven't returned to fix the issue and keep rescheduling our appointment. During this time, 10 days after the sink was sprayed, my husband noticed it was peeling around the drain and was staining. Since then the entire sink, even parts that are never touched by water, is peeling horribly and is discolored. We have sent pictures and videos of the sink and countertops to SoMi and still haven't had anyone out to fix them or any of our money refunded. All that has been in the sink is water and hand soap...no cleaners, dish soap, or abrasive materials, plus, I was told we could use the sink as normal anyways. I was blamed for the sink peeling because of hard water issues and/or doing dishes in it; I have a dishwasher and we have city water. I definitely wasn't expecting this poor workmanship or customer service from SoMi Refinishing based on the pictures and reviews on their Facebook page. So I am here to say avoid the company at all costs unless you want your fixtures to look worse than they originally did, be blamed for the problem, and be out money while their equipment still lays in your backyard because the technician left it there. Do your research and hire a reputable company.

I contacted the company and someone (Jim T. from GR office) was able to get right back with me, schedule an appointment and draft up a quote for repairs very quickly. Their online payment process is very easy to navigate, and once partial down payment was processed our job was put into the schedule. Our salesperson (Jim T.) kept us up to speed on schedule updates and once our time came, he notified us, let us know the field tech's name (Austin from GR office) and when we should expect him to arrive. Our field tech (Austin) was very prompt, polite and professional. Within a few minute overview to explain our needs he went right to work and I left back to the office. All work was completed the same day and what a fantastic job Austin did! Everything was all put back together and work area was all cleaned up so we could hardly tell anyone had been there. He said one of our lights was a fire hazard, which frankly scared us, then said his guys could fix it (for a price!). Then he said the spray-on foam insulation in the basement would be practically free because we would get $850 in rebates from our gas and electric company. We did the smart thing and got another quote. THAT guy said most of those things didn't need to be done, our light was NOT a fire hazard and was completely up to code, and that the rebates from the utility companies would be $175. His quote was about a thousand less than VerWys's. When we called the VerWys guy again to see what he'd say, he backpedalled so hard he was going lightyears in reverse! Knocked off 2 grand from the initial quote, but we'd heard enough. Not gonna do business with a guy who tries to take us for a ride by pulling numbers out of his @$$.
