I was a bit in a panic because the driver I had set up several months prior cancelled on me. I called around and several companies were already booked. Paul's company was booked the Saturday, but available on Sunday. He went above and beyond and began to reach out to other companies for me and secured someone for me for Saturday. I didn't have to work with two different companies, all communications remained through him and pricing remained the same. Our two drivers (Burt & Steve) were on time, professional and super friendly. They had fantastic vehicles that were clean and more than comfortable. But what really impressed us was how flexible they were when we needed to make some last-minute changes to timing and pickup spots. They could have been difficult about billing adjustments but really went out of their way to make sure we were happy. It's clear they actually care about taking care of their customers, not just getting through the job. Made one less thing for us to stress about on an already busy day. Would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone needing reliable transportation in the area

Believe it or not this is an unusual experience and I would say worth every minute of the tour. Having said that this is a castle that was brought over from Italy brick by brick. So the dungeon isn't a real dungeon and the tunnels aren't exactly tunnels from the 1600s but still you get the feeling of how the Winery operates. It's truly an experience that you won't have anywhere else in Napa. They also have a mini animal farm on the property that you see once you exit the facility. This is a nice little experience for the children who go on the tour. The gift shop is actually an excellent one with unusual items not normally found in the local gift shops. I purchased several of their aiders as gifts and everyone loves them. If you can order them online, I would do so they're very unusual and a great gift for wine lovers.

I liked most of them but at $250 a botttle I felt they were way overpriced compared to other high end Napa area wines we are familiar with. After the cave tour they sit inside and you get to try several more wines so we had plenty to drink. If Platypus keeps up the experience we had, that 4.8 will go even higher. Our driver, Gary, was personable and accommodating. He gave us some info along the drive to three boutique wineries, but did not drone on and on as some tour drivers can do. This allowed the 12 of us to chat, get to know each other a bit more and build some rapport. We stopped at three wineries: Rutherford Ranch, Ghost Block and Backstage. Each gave us 4 to 5 tastings. At Ghost Block, we also had a very nice box lunch. By the end of the tour (it was all day), we had all had some wonderful conversations and experienced some great boutique wineries.
