We attended an event here and had a very nice experience. It helped that the weather cooperated, allowing folks to go out on the patio and be comfortable there as well. The views are lovely, of course. The event space would be cramped for a large event, but for one of the size that we were at, it accommodated everyone quite well. My 2 buddies and I played here on Friday afternoon. I'll start with the positives. The course layout is very cool with some unique holes. Greens and fairways both in very good shape. Nice place for local course. Here are reasons why this place is only a 3 and not a 4. The pro shop attendant was just very ......blah. Didn't make us feel welcomed. Didn't try to advertise the course. Just took our money and that's it. I'm sure this place has local support but if you want people to come back then the staff should be congenial with the public. Next after 9 holes we are trying to get to 10 and the local Friday night scramble group has all exits and entrances blocked with their carts We had to ask them to move a couple if carts so we could get through which seemed to put them out. So in conclusion. I would play here again but don't expect much from pro shop but golf course is fun. read more
This golf course would be so much better if the staff didn't decide to allow 5-somes. We got behind two groups of five and it was absolute misery. I don't understand why anyone would allow golfers to do this on a reputable golf course. Obviously they have made a ton of changes, most of them are for the better. But allowing 5-somes and slowing down a game which is in need of popularity from the public is not the way to get people to enjoy the sport. One word comes to mind, and that's sacrilege. It took us well over five hours to play 18 holes in the heat. By contrast, most golf courses like you to play a four hour and 30 minute round as a general rule of pace. I guess that's just Indiana for you. read more
