Our neighborhood vet. Honest, straightforward and helpful. Friendly staff We moved away but I still miss this place and wish they were near to our new spot. Thanks for the great service!

Dr Summar Does not treat any skin conditions for dogs or cats.

Terrible Vet. Put derma bond and I know dog needed a stitch during his surgery. My dog caught Mange, guardia, explosive diarrhea, all caught from surgery here as they don't have the staff to sanitize. Then Dr Summar refused to prescribe antibiotics for the mange secondary infection. Then... after catching Mange he refused to treat the very conditions his practice caused. Avoid This Vet. You have been warned

Tartar-free clean teeth!!!

I can't recommend Dr. Summar enough!! If you're looking for an experienced vet that won't cost an arm and a leg, go to Dr.Summar! Our dog lost a tooth due to tarter problems. I asked Dr. Summar for a quote for a dental and received a response within the hour. We scheduled to see him the next day. We were greeted at the front desk and led into a waiting room. After about 10 minutes of waiting, Dr.Summar greeted us and insisted we call him "John." After a quick 10 minute consultation, we schedule a dental for our pup. Dr. Summar was completely upfront with us telling us what was necessary and not. With one look, he knew exactly what was wrong. We schedule for a dental on Tuesday. While drop off is between 8-9am, Dr. Summar will come in at 7:30 to accommodate you. Our dog was first to go and I received a call about 2 hours later from the Doc himself telling me that my dog was awake. He explained how two additional teeth had to be extracted and didn't charge us extra. They also trimmed our dog's nails as a bonus! We ended up spending about 1/3 of what other places quoted us. Our doggie is now happy with some very clean teeth and taking antibiotics. We will be back in the future and recommend this place to anyone looking for a good vet! It's a small clinic and Dr. Summar is the only vet, but that's how they keep their costs low.

I've been seeing Dr Summar for 20 years and he is the best and only vet I will go to. He's compassionate about animals and thorough.

Standard with all adoptions from the DFL is a paid-for visit to a veterinarian.. they provided a list of clinics near me, GoodVets - GT was the closest. They got me in the next day. Monty & I arrived to the location, the staff was incredibly friendly & the good boy enjoyed several treats & pets from everyone. Unfortunately, the infection in his mouth was still present and I was told that he would need a couple of medications to finish it off as well as several vaccines. They provided several different options for Monty's vaccines at different price levels, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I didn't have the funds at the time for the medications he needed for the infection in his mouth, let alone any of the vaccinations. I went home bummed out about the fact that I couldn't get Monty what he needed. I got a call later that day from GoodVets, and they had gotten in touch with the DFL, who provides a voucher that covers up to $250 for shelter related illnesses, so it paid for the cost of Montgomery's medications. Earlier this morning, I stopped in and grabbed the meds. Thank you, GoodVets - Golden Triangle for treating & ensuring that Montgomery, got the meds he needed. I genuinely appreciated that. Pros: Location, staff is A+, but the fact that they went through the extra effort to get Monty what he needed was what made me truly happy with the place. I made myself a reminder in my notes to give an honorable mention to Alex at the front desk, who was not only very nice but also incredibly helpful in regard to scheduling as well as any questions I had. A+ communication. I had also told myself that I would mention the Vet Tech who saw Monty, however her name alludes me now.

Terrible experience being ripped off for tests, which having since visited another vets, were told they are not reliable anyway and they would never recommend them as the science is unproven. They use scare tactics to generate money whilst everything is "up to you" of course. Well, it isn't up to me is it, because I'm not a vet, haven't studied animal health and have to be able to trust your recommendations. Which i clearly can't. Look elsewhere - good thread on Denver reddit about none PE owned vets if anyone is reading this and wants recommendations for actually good vets. These guys should change their name to Greedy Money Grabbing Vets.

Once (maybe twice) I was locked out of my house and he was still in the neighborhood and stopped by to let me in :-/ The dogs loved Nick and you could tell he enjoyed them too! He would snap photos and was great about letting us know how the walks went. Nick also did some overnight sits in our home while we were out of town and was a great house guest! Sometimes you worry about having someone you don't know well super well in your home for a few days at a time, but we never had any concerns with Nick! Nick's departure from DC was devastating to me and my roommate and our dogs. The boys rebelled when Nick moved back to TX. For weeks, they went on a destructive tear on the days Nick's replacement would come by. Seriously, that never happened when Nick was our walker! They loved him AND he wore them out! Hire Nick! You won't regret it!

Nick treated Charlie like his best bud and would send me pictures of their adventures. Charlie doesn't generally get very excited but when Nick came over to pick him up for walks he'd jump up and down with joy. Nick was also very good about communicating with me. Charlie's beagle instincts would lead him to eat junk off the ground so he regulary had to go to the vet. When Charlie had health issues, Nick would ask about how his buddy was doing (even on weekends and late hours) and reassure me that he would watch over him when they were together. More recently, I had to go out of town unexpectedly for work and Nick switched his schedule around so that he could watch Charlie. He really went above and beyond to help us. I can't recommend Nick enough. Anyone would be lucky to have him care for their cherished pet.

First- 2 visits ago they had him listed as a 2 year old. He's been going there 3 years so it's not possible for him to age backwards. Plus they have his file scanned from his adoption showing his birthdate. I informed them he was 6. My most recent visit I see on his file that he is now 4. I crossed it out and changed it again back to 6. The reason this is serious to me is because they keep referencing his age when analyzing his conditions and saying blah blah "for such a young cat." But he's not 2. Or 4. He's 6. And his name also is not Oliver... I went in on a Monday and had bloodwork done. They were supposed to call the next day with results but didn't. And not the next day either. His vet had gotten sick and called out and it would've been under her specific file to call me, but given I had called inquiring I feel a different professional should've been able to at least convey the results to me more quickly. Finally, today I dropped him off at 7:45 for an ultrasound. I had been under the impression and told that it would occur between 9-12. I just called and the tech didn't even get there until after 11. Now he has to sit there for a bit longer and I had been counting down minutes to get his results. I loved this vet and I'm really sad about what's happening there. Not sure if the switched systems or something but normally they, and especially Kim, are super good at communicating and doing everything they can. Now I feel weird leaving him with them because they don't even know his name... age... when the doctor will be there...
