However, upon interaction he seemed cold, off and needless to say; no genuine thrilled from seeing a return patient (from ten years!)... In short, I felt body shamed; him stating I was too fat based on BMI- (liability), to be treated in his office. Mind you, I have no underlining conditions nor nothing imminent that will scream red flags. His way for me to "run" was to hit me a pricey 8k which included to be intubated at a Asante facility which means more fees. He's word's were contradicting he said you gained a significant lot of weight (No sh*t! I was 16O# ten years ago, plus I had 3 more kids). Followed by "there's no fat left"... um okay. so, am I fat or not fat enough, that part was frustrating to me since he seemed contradicting. (For the record, it's not my first rodeo in getting surgery, I've had at least a total of 4 different surgeries; tummy tuck from Dr Kreul breast augmentation with a lift and gastric bypass surgery both from Tijuana in two separate occasions, lastly, a BBL from Miami). If anything he judged me based on what the scale stating 211lb., keep in mind his scale doesn't distinguish how much is fat; let alone, how much is muscle. To which I informed him that and he agreed on. I see a Nutritionist on a monthly basis (one peak medical), and we're focusing on "bulking up" meaning increase my Protein, lean meats and low carb diet. Recently, I gained two pounds of muscle!! but how would Dr Kreul know if he judged me based on what his "scale"- no labs or condition for him to assess me on the spot. I don't think that was a fair judgement let alone assessment. His MA and front desk ladies that attended me were amazing and wonderful. Those two Latina ladies were genuine, friendly and made me felt welcome. The financial coordinator Kim, is cool but dry, no better way for me to say it, yet that may be due to her role as a financial coordinator/ office manager. In addition, as a visual learner and current MBA student; I've provided Kim, some insight onsite in regard to her misleading treatment plan. When it comes to presenting a treatment plan; the bottom line is and should be that.. the bottom line. No need to re highlight based on what was summarized above it's misleading. Whether she understood what I meant or not, not my concern but I was giving her an insight to which I'm sure other's would appreciate and may hesitate to ask.

His entire office staff is so kind and easy to work with, from the first visit to all of the follow up visits. So very, very, very r-e-l-u-c-t-a-n-t-l-y I duly reported for outpatient surgery this morning. Did I get a surprise. The check-in process was organized and efficient. I was collected from the waiting room 2 to 3 minutes after I sat down, which is a first in my experience. Yes! You read that correctly. I was NOT kept waiting for an hour. Erica, who is quite wonderful, took me to the sparkling clean room where the outpatient surgery was to be done. (The entire facility was sparkling clean, by the way.) She explained very clearly the next steps, which began to reassure me. Shortly after Dr, Herron came in, explained every step of the way what she would be doing next, and did it. Honestly,I didn't feel it when she administered the local anesthetic. I did not need to ask for more because she gave me the right amount to begin with. I didn't feel anything but light pressure as she conducted the surgery. I was surprised at how quickly she did the procedure. Before I knew it, she had bandaged me up, told me what to expect and what to do for the next 24 hours and then the next week. I was also given that information in writing, which was very helpful. Bottom line: Even though I had outpatient surgery, which required an incision this was the best experience I have ever had in a medical doctor's office. As the afternoon progressed, I did not experience any discomfort, much less pain. This is a very well organized, well-run medical practice. I highly recommend it.

Because of this, I had to find another doctor to address the problem. The area became infected, and I learned that the instructions I was given were actually preventing it from healing. The new doctor prescribed antibiotics and provided the correct protocol, which finally helped, but I am still not fully healed after two months. Based on this experience, I would not trust this clinic with my care or my family's care.

Had a horrible rash on my face and since he couldn't see me for about a week (which is understandable) I went to urgent care and started on prednisone. The rash was mostly gone by my appointment so I almost cancelled but had taken good pictures of it and since he had seen me previously and given me a cream that I had a bad reaction to, I thought I should still see him to get some help. First words out of his mouth when he walks in are "It's the patient who's here for a rash and doesn't have a rash". I laughed it off because he had to be joking right? He then proceeds to tell me there is nothing he can do for me since i dont have a rash. I tell him I have pictures. He says "I dont diagnose based on pictures". I tell him he saw me for this rash before and the cream gave me a bad reaction, cant he give me something else. He says "but you dont have a rash now, why would I treat a rash you dont have?" I try to appeal financially, telling him it costs me a lot of money to see him. He says I can come back if the rash comes back. He tells me maybe it is some form of dermatitis that I can't remember the name of and that he treats it with an Antibiotic. I ask him to prescribe it for me, he says no because I don't have a rash. The bottom line is he had no desire to treat me. He made up his mind that I was wasting his time and so he wouldn't do anything for me. I am an RN in the valley and have been telling all of my coworkers, friends and family to avoid The Clinic for Dermatology and Wellness at all costs. I have worked with all sorts of doctors over the years and have never seen a patient treated with as little regard as I was treated by Joe Gatti.

Instead I had an…read moreabsolutely wild call with Tiffany at the desk the day of my appointment for an exam (Mon) where she berated me for not returning their Friday 11:37 am phone call by 2pm before they closed early for the weekend. I told her I was at work, but that was not a good enough reason apparently? She was calling to repeatedly flat out insist that my insurance was not through the company on the card I was holding in my hand, but was through HMA instead and that I needed to call them and sort this out. I repeatedly insisted that I had never heard of HMA and that it wasn't my insurance and that I was holding my insurance card in my hand and I was pretty sure it was correct. No, it was incorrect, she "wasn't trying to be argumentative" but it was absolutely incorrect and I needed to call my dentist to get my correct insurance information or I needed to call my real insurance company HMA and figure it out or I could have this insurance company that I thought was my insurance company call her and give her my information. But no, she wouldn't be trying to call the company whose card I was holding, she didn't have time before lunch. So it turns out that, yes, the card I was holding is in fact the card of my insurance provider and, yes, my dentist does in fact have my correct insurance on file and yes, they did send it to her, they just told her it could be looked up ON the HMA website. It's also the same, correct, information that I had to give them before I was able to book an appointment at Associates for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the first place. I'm really not sure how we ended up here at all. Tiffany called back to blame it all on my dentist but I let her know I'd booked with another oral surgeon instead and cancelled my appointment at AOMS. I get that misunderstandings happen, but to be argued with like that and have someone absolutely refuse to hear me out was a huge red flag for me. If that's how patients are spoken to and treated at Associates for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery - somewhere that practices sedation dentistry and actively advertises for anxious and phobic patients - if that's how Dr. Rajagopal & Dr. Savage conduct their business I can't have any confidence that I would be treated any differently while someone is literally operating on my face. (Jokes a little on them because I fully knew that I'm nearing the max on my dental insurance and would likely be paying cash for the procedure itself, I just wanted my dental insurance to cover what it could on the exam while I saved in the meantime. Congrats to the Dr. that will now be receiving a cash payment though!)

Every one loves a good critic. This is based on my ongoing experiences with OnePeak specifically in…read moreTalent (not all good). With ANY medical provider, YOU MUST ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF. To get the most out of your visit, come prepared with a list (concerns and questions). At least then your provider is aware of the direction of care. Nobody can read your mind or detect a problem if you don't specify your concerns. Learn from my mistakes... After avoiding the doctor for multiple decades (no issues, no symptoms worth noting, hardly ever get a cold)... I had a life altering surgery (few years ago). I have since been prioritizing my full body health; focusing on natural/homeopathic rather than prescriptions whenever possible. To be fair, I am also very leery (and anxious) when it comes to traditional medical recommendations of any kind. I was referred by a friend and am SO GRATEFUL to have found Sarah Kalina (a family nurse practitioner with a masters degree). Over time, I have come to trust Sarah 100%. She is extremely open-minded, non-judgemental, specializes in treating underlying causes for various female related issues. She is knowledgeable and on top of the current studies with it comes to hormones (men & women), weight management and all things female (in my case). Sarah is also more than capable and willing to perform small procedures like cyst removal without hesitation (saved me a dermatologist appt $$$). I have saved so much time and money in the recent couple of years with Sarah. She is honest and forthcoming with recommendations for diet and natural remedies for preventative health. With Sarah's guidance (after ~18 months), I now have near perfect blood labs and I have never felt so good! I have never been pressured to purchase any of One Peak's infamous vitamin supplements, but I can appreciate that they are available to purchase and are legit combinations of natural supplements that really do what they claim (I buy individual components for specific goals at a lower cost on amazon and ShopNKart). Also, IF One Peak is not in your primary insurance network for blood labs, you can request OnePeak to send your lab orders to another hospital (save $$$). The front desk staff, well... hit/miss. The lady with manages the Ashland/Talent offices is awesome! She is friendly, efficient and knows how to use all aspects of their software to provide information, schedule, move labs to the portal, check statuses, etc. The redhead with glasses seems a little gruff, BUT she is also super knowledgeable and I can 100% count of her following up on anything she touches. The "nutritionist" is another story. Everyone is nice enough, but what a waste of money. I think the nutritionist here have nothing more than an online certificate vs any formal education. I have yet to be told anything that I couldn't google (high protein, low carb, low sugar, lots of water, avoid processed foods - a duh). I once had a Dexta scan (bio-metric scale) and all the nutritionist did was read me the suggested calorie intake printed on the results (not helpful). Worst part is, you can't just have a visit with your PCP and use the biometric scale, you can only use it if/when you book an appt with the "nutritionist" because she's the only one that has the software on her designated laptop. Also, this is not covered under my insurance as a medical service so the co-pay is higher. So basically I had to pay out of pocket to use the bio-metric scale. At least they printed the output in color *lol* In Summary: Sarah Kalina provides OUTSTANDING care and over the years I have come to trust her 100%! I highly recommend her as a PCP IF she has any availability. Pass on the nutritionist at OnePeak (in general).
