My cat died suddenly on March 3rd. I called Montgomery and Steward, and they took her that…read moreafternoon. The staff was caring and professional. For only $90 they cremated her. My husband wanted her paw prints, which was $25 extra. I thought it would only be ink prints, but they were done in plaster. Even though she was a pet, she was treated with the same dignity as a person. She came home in a lovely box, with her prints in a cute bag. I am thoroughly happy with their service. The price was cheaper than the animal shelter. The prices are fair, going by the size of the animal. There are paw prints, urns, and other things for animals if you care to purchase them. I will definitely keep this place in mind when my other pets pass on.

For the services we did receive we found that the prices were upfront and clear, with no hidden fees. Rick even helped us set up a flag presentation from the Navy. I ordered through Holt and paid for a marker stone for my great grandmother who died in 1938 and…read morewas buried near my grandfather and great grandfather in Lakeside Cemetery in Canon City. It has been 15 months since I ordered the stone and the stone has still not been made or placed. In my latest communications with the Canon City cemetery manager, it appears that there may not be room for the marker stone at the site. Apparently Holt never wet to the site or communicated with the cemetery management staff to verify that a stone can even be placed there. I can understand the delay in producing the stone due to COVID creating high demand for stones and lack of personnel to produce the stones. But Holt's communication on this matter has been poor at best. There should have been a clear record that they have communicated with the cemetery management and gotten approval for placing the stone before they ever even accepted money from me for the stone. I have no problem with paying them for their time to do so. It should be covered in the cost of the stone. I ran a go-fund-me to raise money to help cover the cost of the stone and may now be faced with refunding the money to those who contributed. An awkward position to be put into. To date this issue remains unresolved.
