The receptionists and Manager/Supervisor Eileen are extremely rude and no help at all. They lack communication and have no empathy at all. Every time you call either your always put on hold, no good morning/afternoon, they just click on you or they don't ever answer. You leave voicemails and they never call you back. I would avoid going to this place. Extremely unprofessional, all ruthless. I don't understand how you work in this medical field and lack kindness to those who are sick and in need of help. They don't even deserve a star. read more

After being yelled at by the receptionist and told I had no appointments at all, I was then told I had an appointment that same day in an hour. Additionally their answering machine doesn't say what hours they are open on Tuesday and Thursday, the only days they are open, and getting anyone to pick up the phone felt like pulling teeth. [I cancelled my appointment and moved on] First red flag should have been the fact that they only accept cash and check despite being recommended on my health insurance website. read more

I went to the Light Street Medical Center to see Dr Vallecillo because it was convenient. It was a mistake. The office is only open Tuesday and Thursday, and only accepts cash or check, never debit or credit cards. It is impossible to get someone on the phone. I have health insurance that covers an annual preventative visit, and I am a healthy young patient. I confirmed multiple times that this would be a covered (free) visit. Imagine my surprise when the office still billed me for over $270. When I went to pay, they requested the personal check be addressed directly to Jorge Vallecillo - shady as hell. I am never going back. read more

I made a same day weekday appointment for 3pm. Checked in a little late (around 10 mins after…read moreappointment time, 310pm). I had to pay for services right when I checked in. I waited around 1 hour in the waiting room before being brought back, around 410pm. I waited in the back for about an hour before being seen by a provider, around 510pm. The motion sensor lights in the room literally turned off like 3 times because I laid there waiting for so long. I was seen by the provider for less than 10 minutes total. I wasn't in a rush to go anywhere afterwards, but if I did have plans after my appointment they would've been severely delayed. The front desk staff, nursing/ medical assisting staff and the PA seemed professional and friendly. Though the extended wait times with uncertainty of when I'd be seen rubbed me the wrong way. There wasn't a clear estimate given about the wait time, but I was told there were maybe 3 people ahead of me. I also overheard through the door something about how I was supposed to be seen before someone else, but "Oh well". That was the tipping point. Way too blasé, like it happens all the time, I guess? A suggestion is putting in a better system to avoid seeing patients out of order and causing others to wait longer unnecessarily? There weren't clear instructions given about what to do if symptoms persisted even after medication or other treatment options provided. Or possible explanations about why I had this problem. Just "Oh so this is what's happening, and here's some medication I can write for you. Okay, thanks. Bye."

I feel very confident when I say that your experience at most urgent care facilities SUCKS, but…read morethis one stands apart. They are quick to see you, are kind, provide updates on the length of time you'll be waiting, etc. They don't simply do perfunctory testing, but also examine you and make an effort to understand your symptoms. Wait times can be long but you go in eyes wide open on the length of time you'll be there vs. others where you'll sit in the waiting room AND the examine room for hours without any updates.

They are conveniently located near my home and in a medical building with one of my specialist that I had already been seeing. So far I have been pleased with my experience here. They have a easy to use patient portal where you can make appointments and view test results. They have a option for a web appointment if you just have a few questions or need a follow and don't want to travel too the office. I use the Pikesville location but they have another office is Anne Arundel County. They are taking Covid precautions now so when I arrive I sit outside and call to check in. They call back when the doctor is ready so you don't have to wait in the waiting room. They have a ample supply hand sanitizer or use at the front desk.

The valet attendant, Sherrill, was very pleasant in handling our valet request and wished us a safe visit. We walked in the main entrance,turned left and went up a slight ramp, to the Information desk and were greeted by a pleasant lady who provided us wristbands to go to the floor where the procedure would be done. Once we got to the department, we were checked in and given the discounted parking validation ticket to retrieve our car after our visit. We were called for the procedure within 10 minutes after the appointment time and greeted by a pleasant staff person, who led us to the procedure room. The type of care that was provided was satisfactory and made us feel "seen". The care quality was good as well during every step pre- and post- procedure. All in all, a nice pleasant experience at this hospital, if your insurance covers procedures at this hospital.

They explained everything that was happening with my care in the room. The professionalism, attentiveness, and kindness of everyone I encountered truly stood out. Mercy Hospital made me feel supported and cared for every step of the way, and I'm deeply grateful for the outstanding care I am receiving.
