I was excited to have a Vallarta Supermarket nearby. Even though it was about a 30-minute drive, it was totally worth it. They had everything I needed, and I was so happy to finally find fresh bolillos. The store was very packed, which wasn't surprising. My only complaint is the parking lot. It was pretty hectic trying to find a spot.

A beautiful addition to south Glendale! It's a one stop shop not only for all of your grocery and household needs, but they have an entire buffet of fresh food both meat and seafood, made to order as combination platters. There's an entire Mexican candy section, fresh sweet breads, beautiful pottery and a fresh floral section. The food was delicious, service was friendly and the store as a whole was in immaculate condition!

I've been waiting for Vallarta to open and it exceeded my expectations! It's still very busy as they just opened this week but they have fresh pan dulce, tortillas, hot food bar which includes so much. Fresh fruits and vegetables, sushi, tamales, guacamole, salsas, salads, ceviche, agua frescas etc. literally so much is made here fresh and tastes great. The employees are super friendly and despite it being so busy the store was very clean. We bought a few of their pan dulce and it was very fresh and tasty. The hot food bar was really great and full of flavor. Their tortilla chips made in house are so good along with their fresh salsa and guacamole. Everything we got tasted fresh with good flavor. Prices seemed on par with other grocery stores as well. I'll definitely be here often!

Great new store! Lots of very interesting things to look at. At the grand opening they were giving samples of their corn tortillas and they are excellent. I bought a few salsa and some corn and flour tortillas. They had a lot of nice selection of fruits and vegetables and so many interesting things to try. They had an entire wall of dried chilies. Parking is a bit rough so be prepared to wait for a spot.

We ate at the Cocino inside the market so that's what my review is based on, not the actual grocery store. It's relatively new so it was pretty crowded and hard to find a place to park. We ordered The Carnitas Plate and a chili relleno. Also we bought a red chili beef tamale which you purchase adjacent to the order counter. The chili relleno was huge and my husband liked it. The tamale had very little flavor, but the texture was nice. Be sure to add some salsa to the top. The Carnitas plate was good and the rice and beans were tasty. The meat was tender and not dried out. Overall, the wait was long, but the food was good, not great. If you're in the area I'd give it a try, but don't drive out of your way to go to it.

I drove in from the east valley (24 miles) to check this place out. A newly opened Latino focused market from California, that just had it's grand opening on Wednesday, Jan 14, 2026. Needless to say, it was very busy with folks checking out the new place and getting food from the various areas. This is not the usual Latino focused market that I have seen in Phoenix metro area; granted, I just may not be aware of others. This place offered what appears to be fresh guacamole variety section, various ceviches. They also offer a fresh prepared food bar, which was packed with people waiting to order food. I picked up some of the fresh ceviches and guacamole. Since this is a new store, everything was nicely stocked and very clean. This is a great addition to this area and I hope they are successful and expand outwards in the metropolitan area. Until then, I will always stop by when in the area.

I love the market so far. Have been here multiple times since it's open and have enjoyed from the drinks to the meat department and the fresh produce as well as the panaderia with the fresh bread they made in the morning. The only complaint I do have is the price changes with the meat but it's really common in most markets as especially since is it new to the area but we always enjoy coming here and the vibes are always great here with good music and good decorations, always nice and very clean . All the employees are so nice and super friendly all the time we been here.

Chilaquiles verdes, horrendos Todo te lo dan a la carreras! Lo único más o menos bueno Fueron los frijoles fritos.

Yes, she was training, but why did she stop serving when I got to the front? There was no one behind me, so that was a bit offensive. Like I, specifically, was unpleasant to serve. I ordered my chicken and went to pay. I had two pre-packaged salads in my hand but she said I couldn't pay for those there. Funny how not too long ago, a gentleman at the deli helped me and told me he could ring up additional items as long as it had a scannable barcode. Ok, fine. I'd like to just take it all and pay for it at the regular checkout. WRONG! I have to pay for my chicken at the deli. It forces me to make two transactions. It forces me to waste more of my lunch break. Oh well, I got back to the office with 5 mins to spare, so its a good thing the chicken was small enough to inhale without chewing.

I hear through conversations management in public spaces that they are loosing business yet they make people not want to come there by cutting working people. Meantime you can at most times find management 3-7 of them just lounging about drinking coffee and carrying on rather than working. If cutting money is such a thingie why not cut those who are doing nothing such as the number of assistant managers instead of actual working staff? I can only assume as I heard once long ago a manager with short hair tell one of the Baristas in the front on my way out to make it look good on paper that the board does not know the sneaky stuffs their managers are doing. What I do see is management not working nor are they really dressed to work. THey are always casually at best making it look as if they are doing work by doing the work casually of the workers. There use to be a management team with a red haired gentleman named David... if I recall correctly his ass manager was David Hernandez and they were not affraid to work. But as for now I see 3-7 teams of women in black all dressed up just laughing and laying all the time with a short dark haired man now, was with another dark haired lady all of which radiate that they are above the workers while they cut workers necessary to do the job. Often now the evening shift is down to 1 person doing the work of min 2 people and some of those managers have had the audacity to go in there and bark at the only person on hand. I understand they are under a union so why is the union not aware of this? As for the prices they cannot compete with Walmart or Winco, the only thing they had going for them was the staff could take care of customers and now they don't even have enough to do that anymore. I think someone in their corporate needs to be made aware and send someone neutral in to review these people... primarily the ones in control. If they want to cut costs start with management.
