The doctor who saw me (Dr Steven…read moreLopez Bernal, Numero Colegiado 080862960) immediately suggested a CT scan for my throat, which is extremely weird and atypical for the symptoms I was presenting with. He also didn't collect any of my medical history, and ordered a full panel blood test for around 40 things, including things that I was already vaccinated against (e.g. Hepatitis B). A supervising doctor at that time questioned him and cancelled the CT scan, but they went ahead with the blood test. They did not explain what kinds of blood tests they would perform on me. The doctor did not explain my blood test results, and the hospital charged me over €2.000 for extremely bad medical treatment. I called the hospital to ask about the blood test, and why the doctor thought that it was necessary to test for so many things, including those that were unrelated to my presenting symptoms. The hospital staff refused to answer me, and lied that that Dr Steven Lopez Bernal explained in his email why the blood tests were done. He did not. This hospital runs a medical scam.

Which was also ridiculous how they could over charge then drop the price. We would not recommend this hospital we should have gone to the public hospital or not done the expensive procedure. Be warned.

    * read the Google and trust pilot reviews instead!…read more I had a horrible experience at the blood department today (ground floor). I tried to speak Spanish but admittedly my Spanish is very limited. One very nice receptionist offered to speak English which I was grateful for. I was there to get repeated pregnancy loss bloods. I was told to go to the fourth floor (gynaecology) who were very helpful but confused as to why I had been sent there from floor one (blood draw department) to ask for a 'pack' when I had already received authorisation from gynaecologist at CIMA. When I returned to the blood draw floor (ground) I tried to speak in Spanish again but found I couldn't explain myself. I reverted to English and found two extremely rude receptionist's laughing at my accent and laughing when I tried to speak Spanish (I am learning but new to it). I put a cup of water down which was accidentally spilled when the receptionist moved some papers. I said 'sorry' for leaving the cup there. The two rude receptionists began openly laughing and were mocking my accent saying 'sorry' 'sorry' and were obviously laughing together in a room of myself and other patients. I have never felt so humiliated. This was not what I needed before going for repeated pregnancy loss bloods, something I wish I never had to do. I asked the receptionist who could speak English to please be more respectful to patients. Especially when they don't have the language yet but are trying. I was extremely nervous and upset then going in to get bloods drawn. The two rude receptionists also demanded other patients went to get a ticket, despite patients telling them they couldn't because the machine had run out of paper. Overall, I have never had any other issue with a different department in CIMA, only the ground floor staff at the blood draw. I'm placing a formal complaint to Sanitas about this experience also, something I don't usually do but feel I have to on this occasion. Hope I never have to deal with them again and I no longer have faith in their ability to care for patients.

When my husband suffered a sudden cardiac arrest, we were thrown into a situation filled with fear and uncertainty. From the very first moment, your medical team responded with urgency, expertise, and compassion. The doctors and surgeons who performed his open-heart surgery demonstrated not only exceptional skill, but also calm confidence that gave our family hope during an incredibly frightening time. Throughout his recovery, the nurses, medical assistants, and support staff provided constant care, attentiveness, and kindness. They treated my husband not just as a patient, but as a person--always with dignity, patience, and warmth. Every interaction, whether big or small, made a meaningful difference in his healing process and in our peace of mind. I would also like to recognize the physical therapy team, whose encouragement and guidance played a vital role in helping my husband regain strength and begin his path back to normal life. Their dedication and positivity truly stood out. Our family spent 21 days in Barcelona during his recovery, and while it was an unexpected and challenging time, we will always remember the incredible level of care and humanity shown by everyone at your hospital. Thank you for saving my husband's life and for supporting our family through such a difficult journey. We are forever grateful.
