They are organized and very good at keeping guests safe and giving instructions on how to safely and properly throw your axes. The only thing I would say in a negative light is that the parking lot is too small and it's a little pricey. It cost us $25 per person for just one hour of axe throwing! It would be better to rent by the lane as we had three people at each lane! So it was about $70 a lane for an hour!

Brad was really cool. We paid up and he showed us how to throw (neither of us had done it before). He quickly went over the rules which are simple and common sense such as "don't throw axes at other people", gave us a demonstration and then watched us throw a few before walking away encouraging us to have a good time. The boards are marked so that you can record scores and a sheet posted of some games you can play to make it interesting. We played a couple games but honestly had the most fun just throwing and trying to get it as close to the bullseye as possible. This was great way to spend an hour and would definitely recommend if you're visiting here. Feel free to bring a 4 pack over from the nearby brewery across the way.

They allow you to bring in food and beverage and will put your beer on ice for you. This is probably a highly profitable business because there is such low overhead. The bays are on a reserved basis with a convenient online reservation system. The target is approximately 12 feet from the toe line and you throw, essentially a hatchet, overhanded towards the target. After a few practice runs, you can then play competitive games (ala darts) and even in teams. There is a waiver involved and a short educational "how-to" for technique and then you are on your own. Safety rules, only one "ax" out at a time. I took my 80 year old mother-in-law, my wife and three college aged sons and we had a blast. The restaurant across the courtyard will deliver and the brewery next to the restaurant will sell beer you can bring over if you wish. We went on a Saturday afternoon and had a fun time. I say this is profitable because it is a few 2X6 boards nailed alongside one another for the target to be painted on and the axes are re-usable like a putter at a miniature golf course. After the short safety and training speech, it is all self service.

Excellent place to try this unique experience. It is right…read moreoff the main street in a building housing several other businesses. It is located on the south side of the building. You check in at the front and sign waivers either physically or electronically. You choose which lane you want. I believe that there are 6 lanes with chain link separators. There are tables for the people in your party who may not want to throw or may just want to watch. The wood target that you are throwing at has to be prepared by coating it with water. Once this is done you can start throwing or you can ask for pointers. They start the timer on your lane when you tell them are you ready. I had a great time. Joseph was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in both getting me started and teaching the basics of the art. I spent an hour practicing and learning how to throw short, long, and speed hatchets. He was nice enough to teach me lots of pointers before starting the clock so that I had the maximum amount of time to actually try the various hatchet. He would also provide me with pointers when I was missing the target. It was fun, entertaining, and good exercise. I highly recommend it.

The gentlemen who I assume was either an owner or manager or in charge (gray, long, greasy hair and sleeveless shirt and tattoos) rudely kept telling us we didn't need a reservation and was mocking us telling us that "this isn't a fancy dinner place" - as if we did something wrong. He kept repeating it and made us feel really uncomfortable. It's possible he was on drugs, but we decided to leave and not give them our business. It was a really big let down.
