This school has shown a pattern of behavior that makes many students feel unwelcome and unfairly treated. Numerous students and staff have expressed that the administration often behaves disrespectfully and dismissively, especially toward members of the Chaldean community. Many Chaldean students at Valhalla feel that they are spoken to with unnecessary aggression, singled out for minor issues, and treated with less patience and understanding compared to others. This creates an environment where students feel targeted rather than supported, and it damages trust between the administration and the communities they are supposed to serve. Students deserve to feel safe, respected, and valued no matter their background and many feel that isn't happening here. Many teachers are very racist towards students as well always making Chaldean comments. This treatment towards the Chaldean students needs to stop. No other student gets treated as horrible as the Chaldean students at Valhalla High School. read more

What kind of high school is this? There are no after-school clubs, lockers, cafeterias, or even a typical high school. Also, Trashalla (Valhalla) is a lack of education; teachers don't care, plus too much drama, and when I went here, there were too many fake people! Nice score the update in the parking lot they updated the school on the inside is a lot nicer they put solar panels they've done a lot of upgrades to it to make the school a better more fission I would say it's clean hallway around on the inside now and it's pretty great school to go to. read more

I am a Uber driver. Over the age of 21. I proceeded to dropoff my rider in a safe area. I had another request pending. I tried to ask the male staff personnel regarding an easy exit. Before he rudely hand gestured me away. I adjusted my passenger window to speak with him directly. He was just as unprofessional. The time of dropoff was approx. 745am. My daughter goes here and I think it's an awesome school - so does she. I recently spent the day here on "take your parent to school day." The kids I encountered were all really motivated and mature and the teachers seem engaged. They kids were also really friendly with each other and there didn't seem to be a lot of cliques - though this is coming from the perspective of a parent. There seems to be a strong focus on academics among the kids. Far more than there was at my highschool (Granite Hills). Overall I think it's a great school - especially for kids who are focused academically. I got my daughter into this school on an inner district transfer from EC. It was VERY VERY difficult to get her in. If your kid doesn't have stellar grades and a clean behavior record don't even bother trying for an inner district transfer....and be prepared to jump through a lot of hoops even if you have a great student. read more

Valhalla. home of the Norsemen.. The circular spaceship is home to the one and only Baby Baghdad. On a normal day you can expect to be cut off by Caldo moms, see Starbucks addicts, teachers showing up late, and a parking lot at max capacity.. Tuesday the 29.. After waking up late for my morning jazzercise class, I drove to school avoiding mothers rushing to get their children to elementary school.. Since getting cut off in school traffic has become a daily event, I put to use my hours of creative name calling to use. The school day was great! This school is not as good as it seems. They created a new rule called the "LOP list" which punishes kids for being late or absent even when excused. If you get tardies or absents you get put on the Loss of Privilege which denies you access to football games or school dances. Also, if there is a football game, the other schools students can not come to the Valhalla side even if they bought a ticket. Another thing to add is that the water from the vending machines is way to expensive(almost $3) especially for high school students read more

How lame am I that I'm writing a review for my old high school. I must say that Valhalla has some great memories . From being in dance class for 3 years to making my own after school dance team with Mrs. White in the office :) I've learned so much and love the staff members . Dude, not true! Contrary to everyone else here, I enjoyed going to school at valhalla. I thought there were a lot of nice people there, some really good teachers, and a lot of crazy school peculiarities. (You know, not every school has a sinking shack, is orange and looks like an alien spaceship.) Every highschool has cliques, and not everyone there was a racist, snob, know-it-all overachiever robot, sexist, bible thumper at all. And for the record, pretty much nobody there belonged in Compton. There's cliques at every school! Get over it! read more

Great education and high school experience. The Orange Nation is a great place to be. The school offers Link Crew for new students and Freshmen to help them get have a connection to the school. The teachers are caring and want what is best for each child and even though the class sizes are big, the students know they care. They also offer strong athletic teams, band, choir, and drama programs. read more

They have a horrible cheer team. Switched to Granite, Vahalla uses cheers from pop warner waste of time...

Everyone is so nice there and had all good teachers and it's a grey school had lots of fun there and food is good too

I am a parent and my kid has had the worst experience ever. The school is short in staff, counselors are good but it is impossible for them to do their job because they have so many kids to deal with. It is hard to change schedule and sometimes it is impossible. The focus is not on the quality of the work but on quantity. Some of the honor and AP teachers are more proud that kids can't get good grades in their classes rather than being proud that students are getting it and scoring high. I have never seen the principal walking around to see what is going on in her campus. The dress code in this school is the more sleazy the better, and when i complained one staff member told me we can't control dress code. Tests get stolen by kids who miss school on purpose on test days and pay other kids who take the test for an extra copy. I was told personally by a parent whose son graduated from this school, that students who have teachers in their family get tests from certain teacher websites. There is no communication between staff members so it is really the students' responsibility to bring up an issue to their attention over and over again and they still forget. All new coming students get excited to come to this school because it is a great large hang out place. My student was offered drugs in this school and when I told a staff member that, the person didn't even asked me who they were and he just said "yeah drugs are everywhere". All the parents I know who send their kids to this school have tutors for their kids. It is so unfortunate to have this school in such a good suburban area with great elementary schools and a pretty good middle school, and great families. The reason that the school's API is so high is because of the good parents that care about their kids in this school and hire tutors and do their best to ensure their child's success. read more

so far my son has been there 3 weeks and i have to say so far i hate the school! when u try calling in for anything nobody ever picks up the phones and if u leave a message they wont call u back for day's i chose to put my son in this school because i thought it would be good for him but no teachers help him they more like to make fun of the student's. my son never gets to eat lunch either because the whole school has the same lunch how do they expect a student to learn on an empty stomach? i feel like the whole staff is rude and not supportive at all they seem like they hate there Job's all they care about is there stupid orange nation pep ralleys!!the teachers and staff need to quit focusing on the jocks and prom queens and focus more on the teens that need help with school.! read more
