It is a bit easier than coming in off of Brownsboro Road. This Kroger Fuel is not large but usually has an open pump. We have never had any issues with the equipment or the gas. If you are running low on gas and in the area it is a quick spot for a fill up. You can also use your Kroger card to get money off per gallon for your purchase.

Sam's Club Fuel is great because you just open your Sam's Club app and scan the QR code on the pump, choose your stored payment information and select grade of fuel to proceed. No need for paper receipts either because it shows in your Sam's Club app immediately after the fill is complete. And, wait for it, the price is always within one cent of Costco fuel so I don't have to drive across the back side of town to save money. Whichever area I am in, it's a win!

Get over it…read more With the recent buyout of Thornton's, the overall blahness of Speedway, and the who-knows-what-you'll-get visiting a Circle K, the local Mapco's really standout above the other convenience stores. From my experience, all the Mapco Louisville stores are clean, well-organized, and well-staffed. The gas pumps are easy to navigate with plenty of room between rows. They offer a 90-Octane mid-grade unleaded with no ethanol which is a plus for those of us who believe adding ethanol to gasoline is just a bit stupid when fuel supplies are fine and refining corn to ethanol is just costly. Also, the Chester's Chicken & More located in each Mapco serves the best chicken tenders in town. Granted, best to get them fresh so you need to come by during the lunch or dinner hours and the cook station is not always open, but really, they put the Zaxby's located beside the station to shame. The tenders are huge, juicy and paired with some of their dipping sauces, just plain good. I've also had a couple of their hot dogs from this location, too, which are some of the best dogs around. Served in a few different ways, from Chicago-style, to Memphis-style, or as a chili dog, they air fry the hot dog so it's not off a roller and it has the crispness on the skin as if they were grilled. They're huge, too, so one will usually more than satisfy. My one minus is the fountain machine, it's one of those Coca-Cola touchscreen models, and I hate those damn things.

Very large and clean station that has a cafe options, and solid food choices. The gas prices are usually on par with others in the area. It is also the last "bigger" gas station you will hit of headed towards taylorsville. Overall very good location that always feels safe and seems well upkept.
