Why is that important..well because now it smell like roach spray. The smell hits you the moment you walk in the door. This is important to know because they make food. It was strange because they advertised in the window that they serve gyros. However when you go inside you see the gyro rotisserie machine but it's new and never been used. If you order one they make it from slices of gyro meat that comes out of a box. I asked when they first opened why the lunch meat and not real gyro meat and you have the machine. The response I got was, because using the rotisserie was too messy. That was the earlier days when they first opened with the female staff. Today..I wouldn't recommend anything that isn't prepackaged. That roach spray smell only means they have a roach issue and they have to spray for it every single day. So, go here for gas and prepackaged items. The gas is usually the lowest in the area and the pumps always work. (Meaning you ask for a receipt and it will actually give you one and not tell you "cashier has receipt." Pump Well and Prosper.

It's is a giant travel center with 100 gas pumps and a store that easily rivals the size of a Target. The selection is overwhelming in the best way possible. They have everything from rows of candy, jerky, and fresh-roasted nuts to warm brisket sandwiches, fresh fudge, and endless other treats. They have clothes and sporting equipment and tots and other stuff too. Pretty sure only about 1% of the total food offerings could be considered healthy, but they sure are good! Between the hot food counters, novelty snacks, and merchandise, it is nearly impossible to leave empty-handed. We ended up buying several hundred dollars of pure joy on this trip. They did kick out tiny dog out who was in a backpack but I goes those are the hygiene rules. No star deduction. If you are driving through Texas and need fuel, snacks, or just a unique road trip experience, stopping at Buc-ee's is mandatory.
