Valerie Leuba is the best realtor I could have asked for. Highly intelligent, experienced and ethical, she recently helped me purchase my first home. Throughout the process, Valerie went above and beyond to support me and answer my questions. She was a great listener and did a lot to help me hone in on exactly what I want, but also understand the honest pros and cons of each property and city I was looking at. She drove all around the east bay to show me properties and was never pushy or impatient. I had many questions and she invested more time explaining and going over the details of each property than I expected. Valerie's knowledge of the loan process was a huge help and she even gave me a referral to a lender that specifically suited my needs. It was a joy to work with Valerie and I am grateful to have worked and connected with her to buy my first home. read more

Valerie worked with us every step of the way in the sale of our condo in Benicia. She defended our interests and made the sale! read more

The last time I bought a house I had a fighter making things work. That is who I needed this time. I started with several realtors but didn't have the right feelings for them. I met Valerie at a Farmers Market. I was just casually looking & somewhat evasive because I didn't feel a relation that started in a farmers market was what was best for me. I was wrong. I intended to talk to her for 2-3 minutes but the more we talked, the more that I felt she would be good for us. I think that we chatted for 30 minutes next to a loud musician. I went home & looked at her suggestion & phoned her back within 30 minutes for an appointment at a house. My wife & I agreed that house wasn't for us but that Valerie was for us. I think that we looked at a second house but it also wasn't for us. Then my wife's son found a house. We went there with Valerie because she was our realtor & it was what we wanted. We got it thanks to Valerie. It should be noted that I am positive had we gone to the listing agent we wouldn't have bought this house. Our hearts would have been broken. Valerie has connections to a loan company that closes in 14 days. It turns out that the seller of this house wanted a fast sale. She wrote a letter saying that she accepted our offer because she wanted a fast sale. We closed in 15 days because the seller asked for an additional day. Valerie works hard. She keeps her phone hours to maybe 8 business hours a day but we've exchanged emails at all times of the day & night. She has connections to contractors for the needed work that all houses need. Even the beautiful one we just bought. Valerie fights. I mean she makes things work & follows up to resolve problems. UPDATE: My brother & I sold our old home with Valerie's help. Her help & support were wonderful. We both listened to & respected her advice. Valerie is not shy to politely tell us what she thinks. She acted quickly to protect us from a danger when a potential danger lurked. Valerie made recommendations in the process. We adopted many of her ideas to our betterment. Her personalty is part of what makes her successful. She has good promotion ideas. There are many realtors. It seems that everyone is in the biz. They may be good but we are very pleased that we had Valerie. read more

Valerie was a pleasure to work with from the start; we met at one of her open houses where she quickly sussed out that it wasn't a great personal fit for us, against her own interests. From there she proceeded to go above and beyond at every step of the journey, finding appropriate homes and touring them with us regularly - even when it was timely/last minute. Throughout our home buying journey, Valerie kept our best interests in mind, taught us helpful tips and tricks to find the perfect home and was persistent despite a challenging market. She also has a keen eye which was incredibly valuable for a first-time home buyer. Valerie made the process personal and got us into a fantastic home, in a very straightforward and easy way. She also stayed with us through the escrow, helped us make sense of its complexity and supported us through receiving our new home's keys. We can't recommend or thank her enough. read more

If you are looking for a house to buy, I seriously recommend Valerie. She makes everything look easy, very knowledgeable and will really accommodate any questions you have. She has lots of connections towards any problem that arises in the house you want. She makes things happen. One thing that impressed me was I think my stepfather had a question for her and he emailed her about 8pm,and around 3am she was able to reply back. Very impressed and i look forward to contacting her if I buy another house. read more

We can't be more thankful for having Valerie sell our house. Not knowing how to even begin was putting a lot of stress on us. From our first phone call with Valerie, she immediately put us at ease. Valerie's expertise, timeliness, experiences, efficiency & honesty were shown throughout our house selling experience. She has connections to wonderful subcontractors & house stagers. It was clear from the start that she knew her way very well through the ins & outs of the complex process . We were able to sell the house very quickly with a far higher price than we thought possible. Valerie has helped us every step of the way which really helped to make this sale smooth as can be. We recommend Valerie in a heartbeat to whomever is looking for a realtor. Warmly, Tim & Barbara read more

Valerie helped our recently married son and his wife to buy their first house. She was fantastic in securing an amazing deal! They ended up buying a gem of a house $75,000 cheaper than it was offered at. As a young couple they were wholly inexperienced in dealing with all the key issues and technicalities of buying a house, and Valerie was super patient in expertly guiding them along the way. Not only does she have integrity, and one feels one can trust her completely, but she is also very experienced in navigating all the hidden obstacles along the way. Oh, and on top of that she was super friendly with us as parents and helped to quell whatever worries we would generate. Very grateful parents here!! read more

After a somewhat lengthy search for what I was looking for, Valerie got the deal closed, diligently navigating a complex short sale purchase in a way I don't think many realtors could have. She will be there for you rain or shine (no 9-5 hours to deal with) and always responsive - this was a must for me and I'd recommend Valerie to anyone looking for what they're dreaming of, not just a house. She knows her business and will no doubt reach new heights under her own brokerage! Don't waste time, call Valerie! read more

This review is LONG overdue by about 1 year. Valerie was helping me buy a house. Although we weren't able to close escrow due to the SELLER backing out, I wanted to share my great experience. When it came to: Understanding my needs - Valerie quickly picked up on exactly what I was looking for in a house, what I did not want in a house, what neighborhoods I wanted to be in, my price range, etc. She was always open to joining me at houses that I came across, and always kept an eye open for those houses that might slip through the cracks (been listed longer, etc.) Listening to my Feedback - I felt very comfortable telling Valerie why I wasn't interested in a property. She was very upfront about the pros and cons of a house. A,B,&C are great things about this property, but you will have to be okay with D - or some people don't like D about this house, but it's up to you. She never made me feel that I had ridiculous standards. I greatly appreciated that she was upfront with me about everything. Valerie had my interests in mind first and stood by me when the seller backed out. She did everything in her power to make that process as smooth as possible for me. She is a great realtor and great friend! read more

Valerie is an awesome real estate agent! We interviewed her with very little notice, and she was prepared with comps, contracts, everything! From that hour meeting, we just knew that she could do the job of selling our mother's house and get top dollar. Did she ever! She kept the family well informed on the progress. Any hiccups were well researched and options provided. She is a tough negotiator and took care of us from soup to nuts. She was the key component to make the sale of our mother's home run so smoothly. If and when we are ready to buy or sell a home, I will definitely call Valerie! She is the best! read more

Valerie is an amazing agent, whether she is selling your home or helping you find your dream home. She helped me find my fixer upper in 2015, amidst a steep uphill climb in dealing with the listing agency. She knew how much the property meant to me and did everything in her power to get me the house. Valerie was a great source of information while I was remodeling the property. She gave me valuable insight as to what would be a good investment. When it came time for me to sell, I had no doubt that I was going to list with Valerie. She priced competitively, and I had two full price offers within a week! Valerie knows this business inside and out. She has never failed me, and it is a pleasure to call her my friend. Even though I now live in another state, I will continue to recommend Valerie to people in the East Bay. She will take the time to get to know you, and fight for what you want. I highly recommend working with Valerie!!! read more

Excellent experience working with Valerie. When we found a target property mere hours before bids were due, she persuaded the seller's agent to allow us to submit a bid, and we won. Would definitely work with her again. read more

We met Valerie when she listed our neighbor's house for sale. We loved Valerie's approach and professionalism as an independent broker and agent. She was incredibly responsive and proactive in helping us prepare our house for sale. Any detail, she delivered. As we received offers, Valerie helped us secure our buyer and make the transaction go smoothly and to a quick completion. We recommend her strongly. read more

My husband and I randomly called Valerie on 4th of July weekend. We had just moved to California from New York and needed to buy a house quickly. We called several other brokers and no one answered but then we called Valerie and arranged a time to meet the next day. She was the only broker working over the holiday that we could find. Working with Valerie mitigated a lot of the stress in purchasing a home. She is pro-active, on top of everything, knowledgeable and doesn't shy away from negotiating what is best for her client. Valerie put her personal time into learning the comps for the homes I was interested in, she provided helpful information about structuring my offer based on what has been successful in the current market and was a lot of fun during our time working together. I loved that she's a morning person; any communications were generally in my email inbox before 8:00 so I had some time to think about it during the day but could talk with her after my workday.
