Liz was able to give me a tentative quote even before seeing the place which helped a lot in my budgeting. Plus she was also conscious of my budget and gave me a few options which could help to reduce my cost. I like her communicative style and sharing of knowledge of the paint. Before the job started, I was able to have a better idea of what to look for in the paint. The paint used could be Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams. With the color recommendations from Liz and my own research on paint color, I was able to have a consultation with Liz via email before the in person consultation and looking at the place to be painted. She did a great job and I will definitely use her services again if I need to paint my place again.

It was a pleasure working with David and Heritage Painting. They did a terrific job, from start to…read morefinish, on the room I was having painted in my new house. David was quick to respond to my inquiries, and was always punctual -- both qualities that I've found to be rare with contractors, construction and home installation companies. He uses good quality paint (Benjamin Moore) and doesn't cut corners, yet can get a room that needs four coats done in an afternoon. The quality of the work was very good. I also felt the price was reasonable. I've always done the painting in my house myself, but this time just didn't have it in me to get four coats on the walls the day before we moved in. I figured it could go either way -- either the work would be worse (or at least not any better) than what I could do, or it would be much better. Fortunately, it was the latter. I'm planning to hire Heritage again to cover up some of the other odd colour choices the previous owner made.

A friend of mine recommended Derek so I gave him a call. Derek is a professional. He definitely knows what he's doing and I felt as though my place was in good, experienced hands. I was debating between a few colours and he helped me decide between them which would look best given my furniture colour, my sun exposure, and the size of my apartment. He even offered to paint some samples on my walls. Throughout the whole process, he was friendly, clean, reliable, and fast without compromising on quality. For reference, he painted my 540 sqft apartment in under two days, doing several coats. If or when I move again, I'm giving him a call. Highly recommend.

My husband is a man of few words. "Powell Painting is a High Quality Operation."…read moreI could not agree more, but want to elaborate. We survived the teen and school-age years much better than the interior of our house did. It was well overdue for a refresh 13 years after the last painting and our designer recommend Powell to tackle 2700 square feet up and down plus a 35 year-old popcorn stucco ceiling. I have to start with the ceiling (they did). It got planed and sanded, the HepaVac creating minimal dust with the crew painstakingly protecting all the floors, sealing doors and tidying up at the end of every day. Honestly such a worthwhile difference when it was done. Tanja the owner is very particular (more picky than I!) and has so much experience and good ideas, such as how to improve the worn look of our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. With a thorough knowledge of the best way to do things, best materials and best referrals (trades), she also offered great advice on colour and design. Her quote was comprehensive and accurate. Our painter (a drywall expert to boot) was easy to get along with, punctual, reliable, and so hard-working. On time and on Budget, everything was put back in order just as before. And the follow-up! Every detail attended to, they noticed little things to amend that we wouldn't have and ensured our absolute satisfaction.
