I'm not sure I can adequately explain what this is all about, but I certainly do love it. As of this review, I've here twice and on the second tour, inquired about buying property. Think of Tuscany, or a replication thereof, but inside the middle of Mexico. Only about 1 hour 45 minutes from Mexico City, this village is a great get-away for just the day or the weekend. There's at least one boutique hotel I saw and property for sale and perhaps for rent.
The village offers about 20 restaurants, boutique shops, gelato, coffee, live music and even games for kids and adults. There's also an area where horseback riding was going on, perhaps even polo.
Parking is $50 MXN (about $2.50 USD).
At a minimum, this is a must-do day trip from Mexico City. Highly recommended. read more
