I…read moreespecially love this mural because of my love and appreciation of mosiac artwork; specifically that made of ceramaic as this is. The mural is located in the heart of East 11th Street in the Charles E. Urdy Plaza. It was designed in 2003 by UT professor, John Yancey who collaborated with Steve Jones & Luis Alicea. The mural is a statement piece to commemorate East Austin's jazz & blues legacy. It was commissioned for a project (Eleven East) funded by Austin Revitalization. I am fortunate enough to walk past this glorious work of art as well as many others in my neighborhood on a daily basis. The rich historical value this piece brings to the neighborhood boldy represents the vibrant music scene of days gone by. Like taking street art tours? Add this to your list, it's a good one!

I paid over $500 for an expedited passport service and still missed my international flight. My…read moreappointment was on January 17, and I was told I would have my passport by Saturday. I did not receive it until January 27, which was too late to travel and required me to pay $611 to rebook my flight. My passport was routed to a P.O. box inside a third-party UPS Store that was closed for multiple consecutive days. There was no voicemail, no online notice, and no response to repeated calls, making my passport completely inaccessible despite being a time-sensitive federal document. A paper sign on a locked door is not adequate notice when access to critical documents is at stake. The business avoids acknowledging that many secure third-party mailbox facilities provide after-hours key access, and that the specific location THEY chose does not. Routing a passport to a location without key access, no contingency plan, and no communication places all of the risk on the customer. After I posted a review, the owner began calling and texting me asking that I remove it, rather than addressing the access failure or the financial loss. I chose this service instead of driving to Houston, and that decision is on me. Still, it is reasonable to warn others so they can make an informed choice. If you truly need your passport by a specific date, go directly to a federal passport agency. I was told I'd get it Saturday and that's why I paid the $500 in fact when I had my appointment I hadn't even booked my flight and only bought it after I was reassured I'd have it Saturday.

I've done this several times as a visitor and a resident. Every now and again we'll walk over from home (if it's not too hot) to get some exercise in as well. The observation center provides knowledgeable and educational information on the bats. As you can imagine, this is a crazy-popular activity and during tourist season (summer) it tends to get extremely busy. The best time to catch our winged friends for their departure is between the months of March and October. This spectacle is something I never tire of.

They said there is a sign when entering the lot stating no free parking. But the sign was hang on the fence and small, see picture. I've been a huge proponent of sitting on the bus in the AC, not hustling with discord coordination's and sitting back and relaxing with fellow trainers to do a fun day of Pokémon go playing. The shiny articuno day was 29 raids in a 3 hour period and it was awesome! I love the team leads and the sit and relax vibe you as the traveler gets to participate in. Also, you get snacks, drinks, beer (for the adults) and Jell-O shots sometimes too! It's very austiny and the one day we did our jammed packed raiding, we got offered free burgers off the East side! Phil does a great job keeping adults and kids all playing the game motivated and everyone works towards being inclusive. Such a great thing to get in on and just play without much hassle!
