They of course took a series of x-rays to determine the extent of the dental treatment I needed. It is overwhelming at first to hear that I needed two teeth extracted and six unit Bridge to replace those missing teeth, giving my mouth the stability it needed not to mention to be able to smile without feeling embarrassed. What put me at ease was the manner in which Dr. Cavallo explained exactly what needed to be done so that I had a complete understanding of what it would take to bring my mouth to a healthy state again. I placed my trust in Dr. Cavallo's years of education & experience & it was one of the best decisions I've made. The front desk, Ginny made sure I was comfortable at the office while waiting for my dental exam. The dental assistance Anna, she did a great job cleaning and rinsing the area of the gums and tooth's for a hour of gum cleaning. Anna explained that I would need gum deep cleaning to prevent any infections deep in the gums pockets. Dr. Strickland advise I should lay off the soda, candies, any junk foods which I will try my best to avoid for future decays of cavities and to the gums. I hope to return back for deep cleaning for the gums, since it not affordable but I hope to return soon when I am ready. Dr. Strickland explained that, it would take time to do every part of the area for cavities repair. At this time, I had a front upper tooth filling done by Dr. Strickland and I am impressed how quick the filling and tooth was look like new. I knew it will be a long journey to have all the cavities check and repair. They was professional and made me comfortable during my visit, always made sure everything is check out the tooth and gum before leaving the dental office. It also felt like the office was more focused on scheduling my 6-month follow-up appointments than on thoroughly addressing my dental health and providing clear communication about my care. I had referred family and friends to this office, and unfortunately, they experienced similar issues. Communication and follow-up are very important when it comes to dental care, and I feel this was lacking. The office staff also did not provide a welcoming experience, and there seemed to be constant staff changes during the time I was a patient. I initially overlooked that, but combined with my overall experience, it contributed to my disappointment. Despite having medical clearance from my OB/GYN, confirming that it is safe for me to undergo routine dental care during pregnancy, the office refused to see me solely because I am pregnant. Additionally, when I requested a copy of my X-ray so I could seek treatment from another dentist, the office stated it would take a few days because they "have stuff to do", delaying my ability to receive timely care. The front office personnel said her name was Kelly although I'm not sure if she gave her real name. I still haven't received a copy of my X-ray to take to another dentist who was willing to see me. We were trying to minimize another X-ray since I just took one but the office is uncooperative. The front office staff were extremely unprofessional and rude during my interactions. They repeatedly hung up the phone on me and refused to provide a clear explanation for the refusal. I had to use another phone number for them to pick up my phone. I believe this behavior was unjustified, discriminatory, and unprofessional, and does not meet the standards expected of licensed dental professionals
