Both were amazing and like $14-15 euros. The wine was $9 and the service was fast. We sat outside in a cute square with birds flying overhead. We've spent a lot eating on this trip and a little, some of the less expensive restaurants are just as tasty and twice as fun. Hit Pienza and try this spot. This cute small pizzeria in Radda is the definition of a humble pizza joint but don't let looks fool you, you'll eat as much as you can for good reason! The toppings are plentiful and if you are from the states you'll be happy to know it's large like ours but tasty and thin like Italy's. When in Tuscany…read more.. You've gotta love the Southern European simplicity. Some are are as if time stood still. A huge TV screen with soccer running all day long. Typical for these sports (mainly soccer) loving nations. We're exploring the area to get a few eateries onto the map. Browsing yelp there's barely anything on the radar. So here's to all our guests visiting our Villa Breeze in Loro Ciuffenna (check it out in AirBnB). Come to Ristorante Pizzeria Dimicla. Good real Italian food at amazing prices. Wine, beer and drinks, whatever you desire. So there's no need to drive all the way out to Terranuovo or Montevarchi for a short dining feeling ;-) I suppose the only thing missing to be five star perfect are some cozy lights hovering over each table to provide a bit more intimacy or privacy. But the owner/waiter makes up for it in so many fun and charming ways ;-) Don't forget to take an afternoon or evening stroll to walk off those newly gained pounds. The mid-evil Loro Cuiffenna is fascinating and there's much to discover. Oh, I almost forgot: FREE wifi. And I say that's amazing because we're in the middle of 'Nowhereland'. Our server was friendly and efficient. She took our drink orders and dropped off a breadstick-like appetizer of baked, thin, crispy, yummy pizza or pasta dough scraps and we started to check out the menu. We could not narrow down our appetizer selection so we ordered three. A delicious assortment of goodies soon hit the table. We had some parma and melon, bruschetta, and fried pasta cuddles with stracchino cheese and raw ham. That last one I had never had before and boy was it good! In fact, they were all excellent. For mains we had pizza, paccheri with bacon and ricotta, and potato gnocchi with fresh tomato and basil. They were all very delicious. The paccheri with bacon and ricotta was another new dish for me. It was sort of like Pasta alla Gricia except with ricotta instead of pecorino. It was different, not better or worse, just different. And yes, I would order it again. The owner stopped by the table to say hi and check in to make sure things were going well. That's always a nice touch. All in all, an excellent experience and one I would recommend.

We got there right about the start of lunchtime for the day and we were seated quickly, but it soon got very busy. Their menu is loaded with many pasta, pizzas, and other amazing Italian food. They also offer a nice sampling deal for couples, described in the menu. We were served their table bread and glasses of wine when we were greeted soon after sitting down. The bread is this amazing cracker-like bread which is covered in EVOO and herbs and then baked off in their amazing pizza oven. This stuff tasted great! And the free wine was a very nice, impressive treat too! We tried a couple things, including their meat and cheese board called the "Cellar Platter" and one of their pizzas, called the John. The food was all spectacular! The fried bread that came with the Cellar Platter was crazy-good! Everything was amazing... Would highly recommend stopping in!!

We rented 6 of their 7 delightful and very romantic apartments for the weekend in beautiful Tuscany. With its old and romantic setting Il Canto del Maggio is a wonderful place for a wedding. What is great about Il Canto del Maggio, is that you don't have to amuse your guests in any way. They have a beautiful pool, a cosy terrace, a vegetable garden and fantastic food, our guest were totally amazed how relaxt a wedding could be. Even the children were relaxt and not a burden to the parents, while playing ball or finding bugs on the property. Host Simona Quirini stole my heart, because she arranged so much to make it a special day for us. I am so happy that we found this place. She genuinely made it a wedding to remember. We will definitely be back when we have the chance. Simona speaks English pretty well and makes insanely good desserts (and wedding cakes!!). It's a family business, her dad is an incredible chef.. fingerlicking good food. Her husband makes delicious pizza's and barbeques.
