We were delighted to find Der Kuckuck which is quiet , serves delicious food and has the most welcoming owners. It was so over-the-top amazing for us that we ending up eating there 8 of the 12 nights we were in Vienna. The new owners Sisi and Mehran couldn't have been friendlier -it was as if we became family during our stay. Since we kept coming back Sisi began cooking new things for me that were off the menu and surprising me with a variety of dishes. The presentation of the food was exquisite and the taste even better. I strongly recommend the vegan walnut stew and my friend thought the lamb was incredible. Though we went to Vienna to see the opera, our experiences at this restaurant actually became the highlight of our trip. Sisi and Mehran put their hearts and souls into this little restaurant and there aren't enough stars in the whole world to match my enthusiasm for this extraordinary establishment and it's wonderful owners.

A beer lovers oasis! They also have a fantastic whiskey/whisky selection here with most everything you could possibly want, classic malts such as Oban and more varied commercial brands such as Jim Beam Extra.
