I enjoy going into the store mainly to buy comics, the new releases are greatly displayed just wish they would focus more growing the back issues (older comics) section and have more comic book merchandise and expand on the comic book space of the store instead of putting it in a small place it's kinda hard to for book in older comics when there's a support beam pole in the middle of room and haft to squeeze around it to look for books.. read more

If you want large selection of games, dvds, cds, collectibles, etc at a reasonable price v-stock is not the place to go. Even with their sales it is hard to spend my money here. Used games are practically the same price as buying it new. I tried selling some games and Pokémon cards and I would have barely gotten anything for them. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Employees break this place. I walked in looking around to see what I might want to buy. I didn't have a goal of getting something specific. So I was in every section. I grabbed a charger cord, looked at games, movies, snacks, and puzzles. I grabbed a few things and then started to make my way back to the front. I noticed the video game section and sonic on GameCube was up. I walked over to pick up the controller and started to play. This tall man walked over and said "ma'am, we turned those TVs off for a reason" SERIOUSLY!? I looked at him and said, I didn't turn this on, it was already on. He shook his head like I was lying and motioned me out of the store. I put my things down and left. I will never be back. read more

Great selection and good prices overall but just wished they closed their lower level after 8pm since the mall is closed. The security guards Harass you in the mall and ask you to leave. Don't go into the mall part after 8pm. read more

The customer service was hands down the worst I've ever encountered. They were not able to make a simple refund and were rude/mean in their words and actions when dealing with something as easy as a refund. I've been in customer service and I never in a million years would treat a customer that was calm and asking for a reasonable refund the way they did. All the men and managers up front should be fired ASAP; the only employee that was kind was a female employee up front. As a side note the prices they offer for bringing in extra cards to sell is laughable - you might as well save your time and throw your extra cards away cause it'll cost you more to drive out there than the money they'll pay you back. I will never ever be going back to the South County VStock and I hope it shits down or fired their front employees/manager. read more

Amazing selection of used or new video games, blu-ray, DVD's, Cd's, books, comics, used and new content in all products. A huge store for nerds of any genre of anything! This is the place to go. Service staff is awesome. Management sucks but what's new. Just try not to interact with upper management and get outta there. read more

I went in to trade in some games. I walked to the checkout line. There were two workers at the register, one customer in line. One worker was checking out the customer. The other worker was at a open register. I walked to his register. He ignored me as if I wasn't there and didn't see me. It was an awakened two minutes of silence. He just kept looking around, as if I was in front of him waiting to be helped. He then walks off to the back to bother other customers. The other worker finished checking out the customer in-front of me. She then looks at me and asked was I checking out, I said yes...I was waiting at the register but the worker walked off without saying anything. She yells at the other worker and tells him to get back here. He walked back to the register and lied saying he didn't see me. I was in-front of him waiting to bed checked out, He's now being obtuse. He begins to look at my games that I wanted to trade in. He begins to scan one game. Another customer gets in line behind me. He stop scanning games, remind you he only scanned one game so far. He quickly asked the customer behind me if he needed help and would like to check out now. He begins to check him out. I felt disrespected, and there was no doubt that he is a racist. As he was helping the customer check out, I asked for my games back, and left. Worst customer experience ever. Worst workers ever. After I left I went to Half-Price Books to trade in my games. They were all great to talk to, and I had wonderful experience shopping there. I will not spend any more of my time and money at V-Stock in Chersterfield, MO. They lost a loyal customer. read more

Understaffed. Unkind. Not worth going to. Their selection of books is nothing to be excited about. It would be much wiser to go down the street a little to Half Priced Books. As for their game selection, very overpriced. It would be a better experience to just buy the same things on Amazon for cheaper. read more

This by far the most inconsiderate, unkind and unorganized company in existence. They wouldn't allow me to trade because of a "unknown reason". They were not apologetic and kept treating me, their customer, with content. I had to call their DISTRICT MANAGER just to get something done about it, and even then it took 3 tries to get what I wanted. It's no wonder that businesses like this are going out of business. My absolute favorite store at the mall! My grandson loves it! The associates are so helpful and help you make a good choice. The prices are wonderful. It's a great thing to do with my grandson. We always come away with a stack of books and a video game. read more

I'm a huge fan of the three V-Stock locations in the St. Louis area (this one, the South County Mall location, and the Mid Rivers Mall location). Each one has some pluses and minus over the other. The location at Chesterfield mall has probably the best overall selection of video games and comic books of the three locations. The two downsides to the Chesterfield location is their retro games selection is very light and some, not all, their employees are not friendly. I realize that the retro game selection is based on what people trade in to that particular location, but it has come to the point where I don't even bother with this location when I go retro game hunting. That being said, the unfriendly staff members (again, not all, but some) is something they can do something about. A friendly hello when you walk in would go a long way, and half the time I don't get that. It is especially annoying to see four employees behind the counter, all of which look at you as you walk in and none of them greet you. Maybe it is just me, but that lack of greeting already makes me uncomfortable from the get go. Again, a simple hello would go a long way and change this from a 4 to a 5 star rating. read more

I just discovered this store recently. I thought it only sold video games so I had no reason to go, but then found out it also has books, music CDs, video tapes, and DVDs. They have a wonderful selection of movie DVDs and the prices are good. I was less thrilled with the music CD selection - their classical music section had about 10 CDs, and 8 of those were easy listening, not classical. Their book prices are way too high - even their "discount" section is priced much higher than our local used bookstores. But if you want video games or movie DVDs at very good prices, this is the place to go. read more

Takes forever to sell items and stock is expensive and sparse. There is a lot of material, just not a lot per department

Every 5 minutes for the 20 minutes I was in the store the same employee walked by asking if I knew about the buy 2 get one free special. She was hard to miss because she looked like a clown with multi colored hair and probably wearing what she slept in last night. I worked retail, what happened to looking professional? That same employee was the one to ring up my purchase. I got about 5 steps out of the store and realized I did not get my third item free. I patiently waited in line. Sidebar: two high school age girls cut in front of me when an additional register opened. The store employee was not observant enough to take the next person in line. I chalked that up to them being young and their parents didn't teach them any manners. I finally get to my turn, it is the same girl that checked me out originally. I asked politely if my purchase qualified for the special. No apology given. She had to ask what to do to fix the problem. It was going to be a return. If you ever need to return something be prepared for it to take 20 minutes and give them every detail of your personal information. I had to produce my drivers license. She was entering everything into the system, and then asked for my phone number. I said I didn't have one, and was told she can't do the return with out it. I personally do not want my name, address, license #, phone number and who knows what else stored in their system for all to see or worse yet for them to sell off to other places. Normally I enjoy shopping but this was horrible. I can see why so many people are opting to order on line instead of going to the store. I am not some teenager with daddy's credit card. I am an adult with a job and disposable income. Those dollars will no longer be spent at v-stock. I tried to give zero stars but couldn't. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. This place is full of mouth breathers who haven't seen light out of there moms basement and haven't seen pussy except there own. This place comes with very poor customer service up in the gaming section after being ripped off while selling my games (worst then GameStop rips you off) I had requested store credit and simply looked around the store. After seeing nothing of interest I return to the employee and show him the receipt and hand him my card with the credit and say can I actually get money. He refuses me very rudely also after requesting help to find products the employees are of no help they simply point and say "it should be some where over there" Do not come here along with shitty employees and bad customer service this is not the place to buy or sell your valuable games! read more
