Unfortunately, when the person I gave them to tried to use them, we discovered there was no balance, and the PIN areas appeared to be scratched off or tampered with. The cards looked brand new, so there was no obvious way to know there might be an issue at the time of purchase. I plan to return to the store to speak with a manager and request a refund. Just a heads-up to double-check any gift cards you buy and verify the packaging before leaving the store and ask for receipts. I wouldn't recommend you buy gift cards at the store.

I found this particular Walgreens store to be spotless and neat, while providing very wide aisles. A herd of elephants can fit through these aisles, with no hesitation. The person at the register was kind and greeted me when I entered but failed to provide exemplary customer service by not asking me to input my number. I could have lost $3 in savings on this trip. Since I was the one to initiate me putting my number, I was able to save money with a healthy bit of change. I'm always inspired to save and cut costs. Walgreen came through for me today! This morning June 25 my grandson was overheated and he entered your store to purchase water. While in the store he became nauseated and vomited on the floor near the back of your store. He told the attendant what happen and Instead of receiving assistance or basic compassion, the morning store attendant told this visibly ill child that he had to clean up the mess himself. Which he did as best as a sick 11 year old could. This is completely unacceptable and disturbing on multiple levels. My grandson was clearly suffering from heat exhaustion and your clerk should have been more empathetic. Maybe asked if he was ok and told him not to worry. But instead he was told that he had to clean it up. Doing this shows a lack of humanity but potentially violates health and safety protocols. This behavior is deeply troubling and raises serious concerns about staff training, customer care policies, and the treatment of minors in distress at your store. I wasn't trying to enter the building, damage anything, or cause trouble....just trying to get a break from dangerous weather conditions. Within seconds, the owner came over the loudspeaker aggressively yelling and cursing at me, threatening to call the police, and setting off the alarm almost immediately. There was no attempt to ask if I was okay, no basic human decency, just hostility right away. I understand private property rights. If someone doesn't want you there, they can ask you to leave. But the complete lack of compassion in extreme weather was shocking. A simple "Hey, you can't stay there, please move along" or like just even checking what the situation was FIRST would have been enough. Instead, it escalated instantly. The way this was handled showed zero regard for basic human decency. Do with that information what you will....but this owner is a douche canoe and always has been. Check the other negative reviews of insane power trips he seems to have. Go up the street 20 seconds to the gulf, they have way better staff and an owner who actually gives a shit. This dude is a racist prick from India who thinks his stupid little corner store is its own sovereign nation with his own laws. Not to mention willing to waste police resources on bullshit when there's a literal blizzard out and they're out dealing with actual emergencies.
