A quick call to Asheville Premier Transportation and I was all sorted. By the time I landed, I already had my driver's details and contact info. We connected before I even made it to the baggage area. We had a lovely little chat, I learned a bit about the area, and he made me feel safe even though we drove through a remote part of town that in the dark looked like an opening scene for a horror movie. But that's where my destination was and, in fairness, it didn't look much different in the daytime. If you like to not stress, get to your destination safely, and have a lovely human be the first person you encounter in Asheville, APT is for you.

Prestige did not have a driver available and refuses to refund us. They said they have a 24 hour cancellation policy, but that policy doesn't actually exist. It's not on their website (although I'm sure they are working to add it now) and they didn't say anything about that policy when we booked with them. How does an airport transfer company not handle issues that arise when flights are delayed to the next day is beyond me. This is part of running an airport transport service... you either get another driver to handle the delayed arrival or you refund for not providing a service. You are not doing either one and have no actual cancellation policy that is available for anyone to see before (or after) booking - that's just theft and luckily AMEX will be reversing the charge for us. Use any other service in Asheville!

I found myself in a pinch as I had one of my very close family members stranded in a remote part of…read moreTennessee (Roan Mountain). I needed to get her to a bus station over an hour away from her location so she could make it back home to California. I first tried the usual ride hailing apps but found them to be unpredictable in fulfilling rides from that remote location which concerned me due to the necessity to be on schedule to make connections. I then turned to Yelp and used the "request quote" option to put the ride details out for bid. With a stroke of luck, Carolina Penn Transportation's owners Darrell & Tricia messaged me and offered a very competitive bid definitely inline with the competition. Darrell, in particular, stayed especially communicative throughout the process which gave me assurance. When the departure date arrived, Darrell again confirmed in the morning and his amazing driver, Tommy, arrived a half hour early in a very nice SUV so he could confirm the pickup location. Once confirmed, he moved to wait offsite stating to take your time and call him when ready. The ride was smooth and safe and upon arrival at the destination Tommy ensured my family member had all she needed and ensured her safety which I truly appreciated. I can't recommend this business enough and would recommend anyone who needs professional, reliable and family friendly transportation to give them a try! Thanks again Darrell and Tommy!
