Butter Chicken for $18. Vegetable Spring Rolls 4 piece for $9.
Brendon P.

To start off, the service was outstanding. Upon arrival, the person who greeted me had one of the warmest and most welcoming tones and smiles I've encountered in a while. I also called, and they answered my questions respectfully and what I felt was honestly. This place is just far too steep in cost for my taste. The food tasted great! But I can't feel good paying almost $30 (including tax) for what is shown in the attached picture. Butter chicken for $18 I feel should at least come with some rice at that portion size and cost point. One of the questions I asked when I called was about the portion sizes. When I ordered, I looked at pictures from just 3 months ago. It looked like the Butter Chicken was served in a large circular bowl, similar to what I'd get from other Indian Cuisine places. However, mine came in a small rectangular container. They ensured me that although it looks smaller, that they are the same size. That's up to your interpretation.

Still one of the best Indian buffets ever.y favorite place for lunch whenever I'm in town.

Solid spot for Indian food. We ordered takeout so can't speak to the dine-in experience but every time we order, it satisfies our Indian food craving. We order the usual, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Curry and they're all super flavorful and delicious. My only knock is that it's a bit on the pricier side given the smaller the portion size.

Three Entrées (one vegetarian/vegan), two kinds of naan, lots of tasty sides! So delicious and enough for three meals probably for all of us

I found this restaurant because my parents were requesting it. It is near their house. They have been to several Indian restaurants in South Bay and said that this one is better than the rest. It is a tiny place in a strip mall and those places usually wind up being the best. From the moment I walked in the door, the smells were intoxicatingly delicious! Although I was there for carry out, I swore to myself that I will return someday soon for the AYCE buffet, so I can try a lot of different dishes. The portions are very large, my dish actually lasted me three meals. We did get a lot of sides though too.

Buffet with rice and Naan served tableside

Great neighborhood restaurant. Smaller buffet but the quality is there. Smaller and very clean dining area but can accomodate a work group, family or a group of friends. Like naan which is usually served tableside, so is the rice. Also, I've never seen Butter Chicken, one of my fave Indian dishes at a buffet. The food and service is excellent. We will be back for sure!

Chicken Tikka, Saag Paneer, Tandoori Chicken, Aloo Gobi!!

I have been a customer of this restaurant for a long time, and I recently ordered for a graduation party, and it was first-class! The portions were excellent, more than enough, and the best part was they delivered it to my house, which saved me so much time and was a huge help. The service was very friendly and very cooperative. I highly recommend it--if you ever have an event at home, school or work, this is the perfect choice.

Butter chicken, Coconut Chicken Curry, Garlic Naan, Steamed Basmati Rice

Some of the best curry I've had! Dining room has nice linens and table sets. Take out gives generous portion size too. One rice and one naan was enough for two people to share. Pictured butter chicken(red), chicken coconut curry(yellow), rice, garlic naan.

The curries, both Chicken Tikka Masala and Spiced Goat, were deliciously prepared and packed with all sorts of spices. What surprised me most was the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biriyani. It was packed with flavor and I'm looking forward to returning and trying another biryani. PRO TIP: Ask for some slices of lime to enhance the flavor of the biryani even more! I'm removing one star because they were super stingy with their limes. I asked for lime and they gave me a single slice. Then when I asked again, they gave me another single slice. Other than that, I will be coming back! They are super busy with take out orders. And I can see why. Located inside a large shopping center so parking wasn't a struggle.

The lighting is warm and intentional, creating an intimate, upscale vibe without feeling pretentious. Whether you're on a romantic date or just catching up with friends, the beautiful interior design--complete with subtle traditional accents and modern elegance--sets the perfect stage for a memorable meal. For dinner I kept it classic with the Aloo Gobi and Basmati Rice, and it was executed to perfection. The cauliflower was tender yet retained a slight crunch, and the potatoes were buttery soft. The rice was incredible fragrant, fluffy, and served in a generous portion. It was the ideal canvas for the rich flavors of the Gobi. The service was impeccable--attentive but never hovering. It's rare to find a spot where the visual beauty of the space matches the quality of the kitchen, but this place nails it. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu soon! I recommend Banana Leaf!

Banana Leaf Restaurant in Los Angeles delivers an experience that feels both expansive and…read moreassured--an establishment that understands its culinary roots and presents them with clarity rather than excess. The meal opened with Rooh Afza falooda and a mango lassi, each thoughtfully composed. The falooda was aromatic and layered without being cloying, while the mango lassi struck an ideal balance between fruit, dairy, and sweetness--refreshing and composed, not dessert-heavy. The transition to savory dishes was seamless. Pani puri arrived crisp and well-structured, with a pleasantly sharp, clean pani that avoided overpowering acidity. The chicken 65 followed--crisp on the exterior, tender within, and seasoned with confidence. The spice was assertive but controlled, allowing the dish's texture and flavor to remain the focus. For the mains, both the mutton biryani and chicken biryani were commendable. The rice was aromatic and distinct, the proteins well integrated rather than buried beneath spice. Each biryani stood on its own, demonstrating careful layering rather than relying on heat alone. The standout of the meal was undeniably the lamb vindaloo. Rich, deeply spiced, and unapologetically bold, it delivered complexity without heaviness. Paired with soft, well-cooked naan, it was the most memorable dish on the table and a clear indicator of the kitchen's strength with traditional preparations. The meal concluded with two varieties of dosa, both expertly executed--crisp, light, and evenly cooked, served with flavorful chutneys and sambar that complemented rather than distracted. While the service was a little slow, it felt more reflective of the care taken in preparing each dish rather than inattentiveness. The pacing ultimately allowed us to enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. Banana Leaf succeeds not by spectacle, but by consistency, authenticity, and technical precision. For diners seeking serious South Indian cooking with depth and integrity, this restaurant stands out as a reliable and rewarding choice in LA.

It's rare to find a place that meets high standards on all accounts, but Copper Pot nails it, from their filling non-veg dishes to these purely authentic South Indian flavors. The entire meal had a genuine vibe that felt remarkably close to home. The Food Highlights Tomato Onion Chili Uthappam: This was the absolute standout. The batter had that perfect fermented tang, topped generously with fresh tomatoes, onions, and just the right amount of chili heat. It was golden and crisp on the edges while staying soft and airy in the middle. Podi Idli: These were fantastic--soft, pillowy idlis tossed in a flavorful, spicy lentil podi with a great nutty crunch. Authentic Sambar & Fresh Coconut Chutney: The sides really proved the authenticity here. The sambar was rich and aromatic, and the coconut chutney tasted incredibly fresh, providing the perfect cooling balance to the spices. Kumbakonam Filter Coffee: You can't leave without trying this. Served in the traditional style, it has that bold, frothy, soul-warming flavor that is hard to find done right. Verdict: Whether you are going for the hearty non-veg options or the traditional South Indian staples, the quality is consistent and the flavors are spot on.
