I was the only woman in the course and the oldest student, and I was made to feel welcome, supportive, and encouraged. I found the instructor to be professional, engaging, and informative. I have only handled a firearm (All long guns) on three occasions and prior to These courses, I had little knowledge of firearms in general, or the laws in Governing them in Canada. I learned a great deal about both nonrestricted (long-guns) and restricted (hand and long-guns). I believe if I can pass this course on the first try anybody can! I love the fact that it was conveniently located near the McCallum Rd freeway offramp, in Cabela's. Parking was ample and free. There were two or three breaks, including a 40 minute lunch break, and there were many restaurants, including a Starbucks, in the plaza. .
