I haven't used their services but got chatting to one of their employees who was filling me in on what they do. Never anyone else in (not entirely sure how they make a profit) but its full of clocks all ticking away, and chiming away, to themselves. The chap serving always seems to have an assistant and they're dead helpful. They've replaced watch batteries for me before instantly and also they've repairs a watch for me. I noticed that their clocks on sale seemed to be quite expensive in my opinion but then if they're not busy they'll need to mark them up to make a profit! They have a lot of stuff in there - nothing dead modern or trendy but a lot of traditional stuff and they're very kind and chatty in there so its worth a visit if you need a repair or are thinking of treating someone to a clock/watch as a present. No immediate parking but there's a side road where there'll usually be a spot so its not a problem.

I would recommend if you are looking to store your belongings here. The staff are helpful and make the stay a pleasurable one. We also got given a surprise moving in gift in our room to welcome us in which was a nice touch. Along with storage rooms, they also offer lockups, workshops and offices to local businesses. As far as I am aware, this is the only self storage company in St Helens. Well done to all the staff!

We came across this place as Magnet Trade (the tradesmans part is a separate bit at the back of the…read moreshowroom). My husband wangled a trade card which enabled us to haggle for major discounts. We ordered our kitchen worktop through these chaps, some velux windows, kitchen appliances and all in all they're very very good. The only sad thing about them is that if we hadn't had the trade discount I would be saying that they were ridiculously overpriced and not worth it. Some of our discounts were up to 50%, which just goes to show that joe public might be just being ripped off! However they're off the beated track slightly which means they probably aren't targetting joe public and probably just thrive on the trade business. There is a handy car park just outside. Pleasant people to do business with.
