Ordered Soft Nut Somerset coal and 80% of it or worse was BUG DUST (was a lot of powder) and the…read morenuts where basically pea sized, and I am not kidding. I called them they said we do not screen the coal at the yard it comes to us that way. Either way I did not appreciate paying $150 a ton for bug dust when it was supposed to be SOFT NUT COAL. Now this is not Harpers fault, it's just the way the coal comes from Somerset Mine so I would not buy Somerset, PA coal for that price, just not worth it to me. Good thing about Harper Coal yard is all their coal is covered. They have giant sheds the coal goes into with roofs so it keeps out most the rain and snow. This way you do not have to pay for a bunch of water soaked weighted down coal which could end up giving you less coal then you wanted and you payed for it. This happen to me long ago, I got energy assistance long ago and they gave me 6 ton of coal on account to get from the local coal yard in Twin Rocks, was called Lanzendorfer coal yard which is now long out of business. Well they brought me the whole 6 ton and poured it into my coal bin and it all fit, hell it only filled the coal bin half way and it was wet coal cause they did not cover it either. I did not think much of this at the time till I switched to a new coal yard the next year and I ordered 3 ton, when they delivered it I could barely get the 3 tons into the bin, I had to use a shovel to move it to the far side as it was coming in cause it was blocking the opening from being to much coal and it was only 3 ton. So I am telling you this cause the coal from Lanzendorfer was wet and very heavy or they just ripped me off, I have no way of telling. But I have been getting coal now from other yards and I can only order 2 ton at a time or it's just to hard to fit in the bin and I only buy coal now from covered bin coal yards. Also in case you order firewood from Harper be warned you are not getting much wood. I ordered 2 Scoops for $132 including delivery ( how they do it with a front loader) and all I got was barely a 8' pickup truck load if it was even that. I usually get 8' truck loads so I know what I get, just could not find anyone delivering in my area right now. Will have to stick to people advertising FULL CORDS so I know what I am really getting from now on.

These are some of the nicest guys to deal with. Helpful, considerate, and very personable. Would…read morerecommend them to anyone. Julie and Vince McClure
