LOL There is also a line of products offered for clients to purchase to continue maintenance at home. The best part is that Skyn Smooth has two locations: Carbondale and O'Fallon, so customers can book for the time and location that is most convenient for them. Anything that you can think of that needs to be removed or refreshed, Britt, the Esthetician Goddess (as I refer to her) will handle with finesse and care. The atmosphere created by Britt at Skyn Smooth is serene, quaint, and calming. I was running a bit late, and called them in advance letting them know I would be there at 4:10, mind you they have a 9 minute grace period. The girl on the phone said it was fine, but that I would have to remove one of my services. completely fine, i understand that. I told her the cheek wax could be removed, she said that was fine and she would see me soon. I walk in at 4:10, the time I said I would be there. No line or anything, was able to go right up to the desk. greeted her and said I had a 4pm appointment and that I think I just talked to her on the phone. She says "oh yea about that, we now can only do the Bikini or the eyebrow wax"... PLEASE! tell me how this makes sense when on the phone she said I would only have to remove one service, and I could choose said service. I booked four services, and am now being told I can only do one of said services over a 10 minute delay... but they claim each service takes 15 minutes, hence only ONE SERVICE SHOULD BE REMOVED UNDERSTANDABLY! I'm asking her to explain how this works, and she says both the eyebrow and bikini wax take 15 minutes a piece, and my waxer doesn't have time for both... Even though that puts me at 4:45 if I would've been started on at 4:15 instead of arguing with me at the desk. The math still isn't mathing. Tell me you overbooked without telling me you overbooked, which again... UNPROFESSIONAL. I told her to cancel my appointment and went to Tipsy nails and spa to get my eyebrows and lip waxed. For both services, took a total of 6 minutes btw. So these waxers must be untrained if it takes them 15 whole minutes to do an eyebrow wax. I've been going to her since 2008 and I currently live out of state and I still see her when I'm in town. She takes care of her clients to the absolute maximum. No matter how crazy your requests for your hair are, as long as you truly want it she will give it to you. And if you get a lip wax from her, you can be sure she'll get every single tiny hair off.
