This is the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I was attempting to set up a notary service for my cleint in the Philippines. Keep in mind I notarize over 1000 documents in a year for my small business. My credit card was charged as I was attempting to set up a notary session. The browser inadvertently closed and I never received confirmation nor did my client. I emailed customer service starting at 8 am and it is now 6 pm EST and I have no resolution so I decided to call them. The girl who answered had an attitude right off the bat, she apparently was the one I was communicating with but I don't understand why she is being short with me. Not to mention she had a child crying in the background which is completely UNPROFFESIONAL. I explained to her that my card was charged and I never received a confirmation email nor did my client. I believe the client's email might have been entered incorrectly. They stated they have no way to look up my transacation without a confirmation email, yet they can't explain why my card was charged. I asked for their billing department and they said they can't transfer me to billing. Now I am going to have to go dispute a charge because for whatever reason they can't connect me with their billing department? I have never heard of such nonsense. Do not use this company they do incorrect notarizations and do not stand by their work. If their notary makes an error rendering the document useless they won't refund your money. We needed a document notarized for a court hearing. The document was time and date sensitive. The notary Novelie Breck Evans made numerous rookie notary errors on the document. She was also very abrasive and rude during the appointment. Additionally, in most states the notary and the signer must be in the same state at the time of Notarization. A Virginia notary in Virginia can not notarize a document for an Illinois resident if the signer is in Illinois and the notary is in Virginia. The notary never told us she was in Virginia yet they are advertising their services in this state preying upon consumers unaware of this. The company is owned by two non notaries who live in New York. Their names are Ashley Tayor and McKinley Stacker IV. He is an electrical engineer. Normally I would support minority owned small business but no longer as to many are just conning people! Do not give this company your information. Do not use them. They do not guarantee their work. Fee paid was $20 and they would rather engage in a legal battle using attorneys rather than refund our money. Fill a complaint with the secretary of state in Virginia against the notary. Also you need to contact the attorney General in the common wealth of Virginia is your notary is Novelie Breck Evans. Virginia notaries do not have to carry a bond or insurance. This notary has neither. Also file a complaint with the New York Better Business Bureau. They ask you to pay via Venmo so I guarantee you they are also not paying the IRS. read more

I had an appointment scheduled and I sent an inquiry about services. Immediately they issued me an additional invoice and when I asked to adjust it, they said I have to wait 24-48 hours. When I asked how come they can issue an invoice within 15 mins but adjustment takes 2 days, they replied that "Things go a far way if there is patience and kindness". Lol what? I did not request any preaching, I requested notary services! Never knew Jesus had a notary license! So obviously my appointment failed and I missed my expected deadlines because of their greediness, they rushed so much to get extra money when they saw an opportunity. Moreover, when I requested a refund, they did not refund me full amount and kept the sales tax. I'm surprised that their accountant just doesn't know how to do this correctly. I scheduled an appointment with them, precleared all the documents and my ID, cleared my schedule for an hour to handle the paperwork, logged into the session.... and then waited. For the entire period of the call. The notary never even logged in. Then at the end of the session, he finally logs in just to terminate the Zoom session (without even letting me in from the waiting room) and left me without the documents signed. Seems a reliable, agile and professional service. The problem is that the notary assigned to me, appears has had his license expired since 2022, according with the NYS Department of State Division of Licensing Services and then looks the affidavit he notarized for me wasn't valid. Asking for help to support@usvirtualnotary.com they give us the legal support of the valid comission of the notary and a proof of that. With this complementary of county document, I can use my doc notarized and can finish my doc process, and everything finished OK. If is possible use electronic signature process for your process, i recommend it. read more

Buyer beware. I used this service in April, sent the originals to be notarized, sent a prepaid Fedex for the docs to be sent back. I never got my documents back, and then I was asked to pay $18.11 for them to be Fedexed back to me. Another 2 weeks and nothing; I was told the notary that did it was no longer there. I asked for a refund of my fee and the additional Fedex fee I was charged and they have thus far refused to refund anything. My next stop is the Better Business Bureau. Horrifying experience with these 'people'. Complete lack of communication. No status transparency whatsoever. It has been months and they have produced NOTHING except excuses. I need an apostille of my marriage certificate. It takes about 2 hours real-time to complete this. I could not wait any longer as I'm leaving for Europe soon so I simply called the State directly. After just a few minutes, I had all of the information I needed to apply for the apostille myself. I've received the apostille within 10 days from the State for a fraction of the price that I paid US Virtual. Just save yourself the anguish and do not use US Virtual Notary. In the process of selling my house, my husband also needed to sign the closing documents. Because he is foreign and hasn't lived in the US, we needed to have a separate notary help him to sign the documents. The notary I was assigned by the closing company arranged for US Virtual Notary to help my husband. I was told by my notary that husband only needed to sign. When it came time for his appointment, the person helping us, Lauren Fridley, told my husband that I also needed to sign. I wasn't the call at the time, but came onto the call because she said this. I trusted what she was saying as I m not familiar with the closing process or with having a foreigner sign closing documents. I in good faith agreed to sign because I thought it was needed even though my original notary said that I only my husband needed to sign. Lauren and US Virtual Notary scammed me out of 239.63 USD when we should have paid nothing as it was already paid by the original notary I used for my signature. Lauren did not disclose that the original order was for one signature and that it was an option for me to sign as well (her wording made it appear that i was required to sign). She also did not disclose that my notary had already paid and that these additional signatures would incur an additional charge. She did have me agree to pay for the signatures, but without the additional information disclosed that I just mentioned. I had already signed my documents with my notary so it was not needed. I trusted this notary as she is supposed to be the one who is confirming my identity and vouching for me by countersigning - I didn't know that she would hide information and give me the incorrect information (by saying I needed to sign when I really didn't). I want a full refund, but at this point I highly doubt they will do the right thing. The way this was handled was underhanded and I would not recommend using this notary. They will probably respond to this by saying I agreed to sign and pay - however as I mentioned this was not a part of the original order and Lauren withheld information that would have cause me to not agree. read more

What a poor, poor experience. Made appointment and got the notary, fine. Her system kept crashing (the one that allows remote signature). Then, after telling me I'd get the docs in a few minutes over an hour went by with nothing. I emailed her, I emailed her again, I called their main number, no answer, called repeatedly with no answer. I finally tried a post on facebook and got a response. Short version - still don't have the documents so I ended up getting notarize.com to do it (took less than 10 minutes and doc was notarized while I was on the call). I did get a refund, miraculously, but from a dude whose linkedin profile says he is a freelance web developer - whaaat? Also, they now have a whole bunch of information that is confidential. After scheduling an appointment and paying the notary fee and the fee for two witnesses, I got the following emails: "Have you received the invoice for 2 f*cking witnesses yet? Once you do, hurry up paying so we can get this over with. We kinda don't wanna deal with you anymore." "Thanks for paying, at least we have another motivation to work with NEEDY people like you." These people are fraudsters. Don't use them. I prepaid 208 USD plus a 50 USD FedEx for a 10day notarization and appostille service of 10 days. Initially I thought what a great service that I can recommend to my overseas friends. Then things got fishy. I received unsigned emails from "authentications" with no contact telephone or name. They were rude, curt and unapologetic . I kept on getting excuses for delays. In the end I ask for my money back and they refused. I couldn't rate less then 1star unfortunately. Used the service for international notarization (two stamps) for a inheritance topic in New Jersey, my home state. I live in Germany. Appointment done via Zoom (no mention that this was needed in advance). Docs per email received. Cost $150. Asked to get wet copies sent from the notary in CT to an address in NJ after the appointment was done. Customer service confirmed ok (after confirming that I did not want to repeat the notarization of said documents with my "wet" signature and their "wet" signature). Customer service sends an invoice for another $150. No answer why they can't just send the original documents. Don't use this company. It's a scam. read more

Scheduled an appointment for 7pm MST, uploaded my documents, and waited. Got onto the zoom call at 6:57pm and no one showed up. I checked my email and at 6:04pm I'd received an email from the notary asking if I was going to come onto the call. Almost an hour before I was scheduled to. I reached out to the help email and someone responded saying they'd reschedule me, no apology for the inconvenience, and asking when I wanted the appointment. I told them I'd wanted it for 7pm which is why I made it then, and asked for a refund. The person stated they'd refund it, but I noticed that they kept their processing fee. The notary notarized my documents, as paid for. However, I had sent an email beforehand that they did NOT read. This email provided information that was important to the notary process. Long story short, her failing to read the email lead to problems with the process. I didn't get the electronic acknowledgment and "true copy" statements required by the title agent I was going through. Customer Service basically blamed me and said that I needed to tell the notary my needs beforehand, which I did per email... way to provide fantastic customer service. Note: I live abroad at the moment. I paid $150 ($75 per signature)for a service that someone in the USA would pay roughly $25 for. There is NO difference in services rendered between someone abroad and someone in the USA. Spend your money cautiously. As a real estate developer, I have signed a thousand notarized documents. I have made special trips into the title company. I have sent hundreds of FedEx and courier packs. Even jet packs. I have signed stacks of blank Grant Deeds in advance. I have paid for house call [mobile] notaries. I have flown employees to distant places with just one sheet of paper in hand. I have cajoled signers to travel from foreign countries just for notary services [at a cost to me]. Those days are over! I accidently found Virtual Notary. Worst experience ever. Insisted that our docs were at department of state well after they were in fact returned to them because something was filled out incorrectly. Horrible customer service. Bristle when accused of being called incompetent for such actions, which are fairly accurate.
