When your employers wrong you, and you lack the stones to stand up to them, does it really make…read moresense to shift the blame to the customers paying for your services, and subject them to lawless persecution when they complain? Does getting away with crime make crime okay or somehow funny? Does it help you forget that your real problem is cowardice, that the people you're acting against are your community, that the corporate elite who've decided our business isn't worth keeping aren't the masters you should be serving, and that the very idea that you should consider yourself one of them, and not one of us, is laughable to them? The trouble began when our Bodfish and Lake Isabella Post Offices joined rural post offices across the country in refusing to deliver packages from Amazon. Amazon uses its own delivery trucks elsewhere, but in rural areas they contract USPS. Frankly they don't need the business of low income people. This puts a burden on USPS employees that I support them in protesting. Only there's been no protest, no forthright speaking to the public, and no regard shown for the law. These people think no better of our shared community than Amazon does. That Amazon can buy the DOJ and OIG impresses them. They feel empowered by the demoralization of all of us, and have embraced crime as a workplace ethic. This isn't exaggeration. The law says people who interfere with our mail aren't fit to breathe the same air as us. We have no need to tell them that, the law exists to tell them for us. 18 US Code Title 1703 says, "Whoever, being a Postal Service employee, delays or detains any letter, package, or mail entrusted to him, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than FIVE years, or both." Last year I typed out the code and glued it to a plaque on the inside of my mailbox door. Someone ripped it out and left it on the ground. That didn't change the law. It's been three years since I wrote Postmaster Alyce Nelson to ask how our situation pertains to the law. I'm awaiting her reply. I've complained to the OIG, and seen how that works: When people in rural areas complain to the OIG about USPS corruption, our complaints are relayed to the very people we complain about, and only them, for handling. In their replies they jeer at us. Gavin Newsom knows this. Alex Padilla knows it. Todd Blanche knows it. They condone it, which makes them complicit in federal crime. The more you complain, the more you're persecuted, untill you learn to stop complaining. It's very sad to see how this stuff works. Currently my mail carrier only tends to my mailbox when I've shut the mailbox door, and then it's to pull over, yank the door open, then drive on leaving it hanging. Mail sent to me is no longer delivered. Mail I send is no longer sent. Items I never see are officially marked Delivered, making refunds impossible. My election materials were kept from me, with the result that my name has been scrubbed from the voter rolls. This makes election interference another crime they've chalked up for themselves. They sent back my income tax return form to the IRS. They've withheld prescription medications from me. Why should my health matter to them? I live in a low income rural area, my zip code defines who I am, what I'm worth, it says it all. Remove legal consequences and a surprising number of people will show you why we need them. Then we noticed a black car following us as we headed out the backroads towards the falls. We decided to turn around, and the car passes us and turns around. We drive out the front way, and stop ear the mines and the car stops about 1/4 of a mile behind us. So we get back in the Jeep and drive further out and pull to the side of the road. The black car darts past us, and stops hard and turns around and zooms back. We hauled ass and in the rear-view we saw the car turn around again. We were heading down Darwin Rd., in a raised Jeep, at about 95mph (no joke). So, if you guys do decide to visit this place, please be respectful of the people who live here and respect the barriers of road and yard- we didn't, we decided to check out someone's yard art, and it apparently pissed someone off hardcore.
