First review: After 10 years of having Cota & Cota as my oil/propane provider, I cancelled my account with them and will be taking my business elsewhere. I had a maddeningly, frustrating call with one of their service desk staff (who I will not publicly name) who interrupted, spoke over me, and mansplained. When I called this gentleman out for his behavior, he 'let' me speak. When I finished speaking, he then said "Can I talk now?" To the leadership of Cota, I strongly urge you to have your staff complete customer service training. Or maybe remind them on the do's/don'ts of speaking with customers. Here, I'll help: 1. We hired Deconstruction works to partially dismantle a warehouse building we bought. The went far…read moreabove the level we expected. They were adaptable, responsive, and always pleasant. Because we were about 2 doors down from the worksite we were around a lot. I have to say everyone on the crew was a pleasure to be around. Because this level of project is new to us I think I was pretty anxious a lot of the time but Erich was always helpful and easy to get along with. I feel very lucky to have been able to hire them. The idea that the materials are being reused, the savings over straight demolition and the potential tax savings are really the icing on the cake to what was a great experience overall. Deconstruction Works also did some side work not originally contracted such as cleaning up the place. The work was done at a very fair rate and the project was finished ahead of schedule and on budget. This may sound weird but I will actually miss the Deconstruction Works crew. So fast, so professional, so good at what they do, and enjoyable to be around, oh yeah, and they saved us money too.

Everything was dismantled with the care a 150 year old house deserved. It makes me feel great to know that the old timbers and slate would all be reused instead of landfilled. Everyone on his team was super polite and worked like total champs for two weeks straight throughout cold December weather. I hate to post against a family owned business- and I'm not sure if there has been a generational change- but... time to go with the corporate service Customer beware!
