It has been there for many years and the building is kept up very well. And there are several parking spaces, but if you drive a large truck it can be a little tricky backing up due to the neighbor's fence on the edge of the property line. They changed their hours but are normally now only open about 4 hours per day. Usually from about 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. they have the drop off box in the front outside. And can process any shipping needs you have if you can catch them while they are open. This is a very small town so it is still lucky to have a post office as many were closed. They have p.o boxes for rent inside with 24 hour access.

The clerks always let me know there is a survey that you can go online to fill out and let them know how they're doing. This is an older building and is in need of some updating. There is street parking available in some additional parking on the side of the building. One thing I have noticed is sometimes when dropping the mail off in the outdoor mail bins, the "Out of Town" one gets quite full towards the end of the day. Sometimes the mail is almost falling out! I mentioned this to one of the clerks at the window and she said they do try to do their best to keep up with it. She did say that mail can be put in either mailbox, it does NOT matter whether it says local or out of town so that was good to know. Review #49 02/18/17

I am going to brag about the amazing customer service I received today. My brother sent my kids…read moregift cards for Christmas. The problem was they sent them to the wrong address. The good thing...the post service added the new address label and we received 2 out of the 3 cards. There was still one card missing. Finally I contacted both the Fortville and Ingall's post offices for help. They worked together and finally figured out that the card I was looking for was at the Ingall's location with the entire front ripped off. There would be no way of knowing who it was from or where it was going. What saved me was my brother signed the inside. The amazing and very helpful Andrea in Ingall's helped me find it and now my daughter has her highly anticipated gift from her uncle. Andrea thank you from the bottom of my heart! It's people like you that give me hope that people still care and still do an amazing job everyday. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

There is a front window to talk to the clerk for needed postal items, and many rental boxes in about 4 different sizes inside with 24/7 access. This is a cool old building with plenty of parking in the large lot or on the street. This is a small farming type town, so they are not very busy here, so it can be quick in and out if you're shipping packages. This is the 46161 zip code.

The lobby is organized and well-kept, and there are several designs of stamps to choose from at the counter (I picked the snow globes in honor of Christmas!). Vanity was the employee working when I was there, and she was fantastic. She was very kind and personable to everyone who came through, and she was very understanding to the customers having trouble. I would definitely pick the McCordsville Post Office over any other shipping company in the city!
