The service was not good. I purchased the mailbox and the process was so unorganized that the clerk never gave me my key. I had to go home come back a couple of days later and then there was a new attendant who had no idea of the transaction it was a very inconvenient service. The quality was poor. it appears that the forms of communication the process was not clear to the people that work there each time I went there was a different rep and each time they had a different protocol on how to handle my inconvenience. read more

Terrible costumer service , one of the ladies that aren't there was very mad at my husband because he didn't understand what she said , she proceded to say that my husband didn't speak English, mind you that my husband is an airplane pilot . My last few visits to various USPS locations have actually been good. This location needs to follow suit. First, the young lady & only employee working behind the counter was in full conversation on her mobile via her Airpods. As if none of us didn't notice & no, she was not having a monologue. Second, she waved me over to the counter as opposed to verbally acknowledging me...that's a no-no. Once she realized I wasn't budging, she gave me the dry "you can come up", I shook my head & approached the window. Third, she was still talking on her phone while trying to assist me. Nothing is more frustrating than driving somewhere to get there before they close, arriving 30 minutes before closing time, only to find the facility already locked up. I could hear someone behind the wall and asked her if I could just drop off a prepaid package to go out and she said "UNLESS IT CAN FIT IN THE MAILBOX, NOPE!" So the day after the holiday I went in to mail a package. It appeared that the office was practically empty, almost looks closed. There was one person working. That one person had a sign up that said "I will return at 2:45" when I did see a figure behind the counter asked nicely, "are you back?" she replied nastily i'm not coming back until 345, that's what the sign says". It is obviously understaffed as there is only one employee, and as others have said, she decides when it's open or closed - even if the hand-written sign on the door says it should be open. When I arrived I saw the hand-written sign on the door says closed for lunch 11:30-noon. Checked my watch: 11:10am. I walk in to see three customers in front of me, but the one employee yells that she's already closed for lunch. I check my watch and the sign again. I walk back up since there is one customer at the counter and the two others are busy preparing their packages. The employee again says she's closed and asks what I need. I explain that I came to buy postage for one package that was already weighed and metered - literally just have to pay for the postage that was already calculated and on the label, then put it on the package. She says she's going to help the other customers and then will be closed, then proceeds to walk out from behind the counter to escort me and the other incredulous customer who came in behind me to the door...with attitude...which took more time than it would have to simply let me pay for the postage and go about my day. Wouldn't even give 1 star. I came in close to 9 am today. I asked the tall african american lady behind the counter what i need to do to get a replacement mailbox key. She asked me my zip code and then told me i needed to go to my postal service office. Fine. Makes no sense since i live a few blocks from there. So she told me to go to Linbergh office. I go there and then she tells me the first lady was not doing her job and was being lazy, because she sent me to the wrong location. I was directed to sandy springs. Idiots think we have nothing better to do then drive around aimlessly. Useless. Being short staffed is no longer an excuse. Covis has been around for a few years now. I've tried to come to this post office three times over this past week and the counter has been closed. Her lunch breaks last hours with no note on the door of her return. Today she closed the door in my face when I tried to check my PO BOX. She has the doors locked when customers are in there so I can't even come in and check my P.O. Box while the office is open. I come with prepaid labels on my packages so I don't generally take more than 30 seconds at the counter but she does not care at all. I'm changing my P.O. My experience with US postal service has always been wonderful filled with stories of helpful staff and their professionalism. That's in other locations except: Ms. Lotica ( From her name Tag ) next door to my home address below. 3495 BUCKHEAD LOOP NE STE 115 ATLANTA, GA 30326-9997 Lotica, around 5'8", was unprofessional, each time over the past 4 years I visited the post office she was either talking on the phone via her earphone or speak with a condescending tone. This morning I went to drop off a prepaid priority mail box and was hoping I don't have to run into her shift. She was rude and short when I asked if I could borrow a tape gun to seal the box. There was a line which I didn't mind. The people in line were happy and they were there to mail out holiday letters and gifts. When it was my turn, Lotica instructed me to use the same tape to seal my label. I asked for a clear pouch and she didn't answer me and went straight to call out the next customer in line then the next ... I paused sealing the label and asked her to make sure my label is scannable and she didn't even look up when she speak to me. Attached here is how the beautiful package looks after many layers of tapes. As a Buckhead resident I want to be able to walk to my postal office and be treated like a customer not a second class citizen. HIGHLY recommend only going here if you're dropping off a prepaid package and don't require a receipt. After today's experience, I can't even say I would trust them to handle a prepaid package (though I have dropped them off there in the past without issue). The line is ALWAYS long. I work across the street and try to take my lunch break when I think it will be less busy. There's no "off" time, and that's mostly because there is never more than one person working the counter. Service is slow, but what can they do if it's only one person? I can be understanding about that--you don't know how many packages someone is trying to mail and aren't responsible for a customer holding up the line. What you do have control over, however, is when you take your break and how you manage the crowd leading up to it. I spent 30 minutes in line on my lunch hour to mail a single package, only to be told that the woman at the desk was only taking two more customers and then closing for lunch break from TWO UNTIL FOUR PM! A two hour lunch break?! Why isn't there anyone else there to relieve her? Why does she need to close for two hours? If this is a standard thing that happens at the same time every day, why no notice to those of us waiting in line at 1:30 or later? Why would you let the line continue to grow, knowing there's no way you could get to everyone before 2, but not say anything until we had all wasted our day? read more

They have been holding my packages hostage for 3 weeks now. I have a P.O box yet I am still unable to receive my packages because nobody is ever working so now my packages are sitting in sorting with no one to actually put them in my p.o box its been 2 weeks of calling 3 weeks of fighting and I can honestly say they have won. Do you know how difficult it is to find wedding stamps? I had no idea until today. My expectations are not high, given the state of the USPS. But it seems pretty ridiculous to stick one postal worker with a line that's 15 deep at all times, right? US Post offices are generally a pain in the behind to begin with and this one isn't too great. The line is 30 min to mail a package, one attendant working and everybody is standing patiently. Note, that's not even during holiday or peak hours, just a random Tuesday afternoon. This is very unpleasant and there is clearly no respect for people's time. I'd say "you get what you pay for", the only problem being that post office is often just as expensive or more as its commercial competitors. Yes, everyone knows the challenges of going to the local USPS. People are rude and inefficient. Remember also that they often deal with extremely disgruntled people as well. That being said I was about to give this location a 3 star review until it was made up for by a really great post office worker. I came around lunch time and was about to send out a letter express. I was in the process of writing down everything and the first person I worked with told me she is closing and I needed to come back. I was literally waiting in line and she sent me away. Could have told me that before I was waiting there for 5 min? Anyways, I returned after lunch and then had a great experience with the new person up front. I walked in and was helped immediately and the lady at the front wasn't rude to me. Just go in and ship your package and have an understanding on how the process works and you will avoid any problems. We have YouTube now it's 2021, watch a video if you have questions and then go in and ship it. The lady at the counter was absolutely no help, she was rude and impatient. I went in to ship something that already had a First Class label already on it. We asked if it was ok and was this a priority package. She said it will be and we can just pay the difference.... after she weighed it , the price was higher then expected. Instead of her helping, she watched us look for better options, we even went back to see if it was cheaper in a different box and it wasn't so we put it back in the same box with priority tape and just decided to pay the fee. So we stood in line AGAIN just for us to get to the counter and she says "well if it's not in a rush you can choose a cheaper option" which was 50% less then the first price she gave. Then told us to remove ALL of the priority tape that she just watched us put on there. Afterwards, we addressed her lack of assistance and she was very condescending, dismissive & rude. In a hurry to get to the next customer, she let us leave without addressing our concerns. My daughter is new to selling on eBay and wasn't knowledgeable on how it works so she asked questions. The lady was very impatient with her speaking in terms she wasn't aware of without explanation but I told my daughter to disregard it and just pay the shipping fee. I would even pay for it to get out of there. So after we removed the first tape to find another box, then to see that box not work and have to retape the original box it with priority tape ONLY to be told we don't need that tape to ship first class. THAT WAS OUR ORIGINAL QUESTION "can we ship it first class". I had to tell her how inconsiderate she was being. Her response "you should've looked at the screen".... She was a terrible human. I'm going to begin by saying "How does a federal public office that is suppose to provide good customer service to there customer have someone like LOLITA being rude to the customers. I guess being rude is a criteria for getting a job with the post office. The only reason that I enjoy going into the post office is due to the young lady that is so pleasant and she is not even a permanent employee. She is a floater. I had a good experience here. I went right at 9:15am to avoid a line, and was greeted cheerfully and helped immediately by the woman behind the counter. I heard her encounter with another customer who had a few questions and the employee was equally pleasant and helpful to her. "If I could give it 0 stars I would" Where do I even begin!? Let's start with Lolita Porter. She is the perfect example of someone who hates going to work everyday and it shows. I did not ONCE, in my hour waiting in line, see her crack a smile. The one question I had for her resulted in immediate attitude and a snippy not so helpful response. After waiting in line for 35 minutes as she was taking her time putting away packages, another costumer complained about how long she was taking; again resulting in immediate attitude and disappearance into the back room for 20 extra minutes. Maybe she took a lunch break and forgot to tell the 15 customers in line. Final thoughts: Do I recommend waiting an hour to send off a package?
